Anjali looked at them, their puppy eyes and genuine smiles tugging at her heart. She realized she had been selfish, shutting herself off from the people who cared about her, she needed to stop being so guarded. Taking a deep breath,
Anjali finally said, "Okay."
Arushi clapped her hands in excitement. "Yay! It'll be so much fun!"
Aahan nodded, giving Anjali a reassuring smile. "Great! So, let's decide where to go and what time to leave."
Suddenly remembering something, Anjali asked, "Isn't Aryan coming?"
Arushi and Aahan exchanged knowing glances, both wearing smirks.Aahan, with a dramatic flair, said, "Big bro is too busy with meetings. He's deep into his business world."
"Oh," Anjali responded, a hint of disappointment in her voice. "Well, that's okay."
The café's warm atmosphere and their friendly banter created a space where Anjali could slowly start to open up again. By the time they left, Anjali felt a bit lighter, and the anticipation of the next day's outing gave her a small but significant sense of hope.
The next evening, Anjali and Arushi were bustling around Anjali's room, preparing for their outing. The room was a whirlwind of clothes, accessories, and beauty products.
Arushi glanced at Anjali and gasped in mock surprise. "Anjali, what are you doing—wow! You look so beautiful, like a queen! In that white suit, you look so gorgeous; I wish I were a guy!"
She placed her hand dramatically on her heart, making Anjali laugh. "Come on, that's not even close to true!"
Arushi gasped in exaggerated shock. "Liar! You look so stunning that a song is waiting just for you!"
She picked up her phone and started playing the song "Chand Sifarish," the melody filling the room. Arushi began dancing to the beat, teasing Anjali as she sang along,
"Chaand Sifarish Jo Karta Hamari Deta Woh Tumko Bata Sharm-O-Haya Pe Parde Gira Ke Karni Hain Hamko Khata." The room was filled with their cheerful laughter.
"Hahaha, let me ask that guy where he is," Arushi said with a grin as she left the room.
*On Call*:
"Oye chirkoze! Is it too much trouble for you to pick up a call?" she teased.
Aahan's voice came from the other end, sounding confused. "Hey, I wasn't paying attention—but what's this chirkoza, dont call me with this name?"
"Should I call you 'baby' then, huh?" Arushi shot back, rolling her eyes but clearly enjoying the banter.
Aahan chuckled. "Aye haye~~ Soemone is flattered by me."
