Aryan's POV:

As I stepped out of the room, I instinctively pressed a hand to my chest, as if trying to steady my wildly beating heart. That was too close.

It felt like my heart was going to burst, racing so fast and so loud that anyone nearby could probably hear it.

Her face... that moment when her hair got caught in my button. Just thinking about it made my pulse quicken even more.

The way her eyes locked with mine, the warmth of her skin when my fingers brushed against her—it was overwhelming, but at the same time, I couldn't get enough.

I need to get a grip.

I leaned against the wall, trying to compose myself. My mind was replaying the moment over and over—her smile, her voice, the way she looked at me when I untangled her hair. It was all burned into my memory. I shook my head, trying to clear the thoughts, but the fluttering in my chest refused to settle down.

"Mere liye perfect ho"... I whispered the words to myself again, the weight of them sinking in. It hit me like a wave. I'd thought it before, but now... now it felt undeniable.

Anjali... I'm in love with you, in a way I've never been with anyone before, I murmured, almost afraid to say it aloud. But the truth of it was impossible to ignore. My heart was racing, a strange mix of excitement and fear bubbling up inside me. It was crazy—this feeling, this pull toward her—but I couldn't fight it anymore.

There was something between us now, something electric, something I'd never felt before. Whatever this was, it wasn't just attraction. It was more. I could feel the shift in the air when we were close, and I knew—there was no turning back. She wasn't just someone I liked.

She was someone I couldn't let go of.

End POV:

"Aryan! Where have you been? I've been looking for you for ages," Tanishka called out, her voice laced with impatience.

He turned around, his expression neutral. "Why? Did you need something?" His tone was straightforward, almost distant.

"No, I have something to show you. Come," she said with a soft smile, pulling him towards the balcony.

When they arrived, Aryan was met with a scene straight out of a romantic movie—the balcony was decorated with candles, rose petals scattered around, and a table set with food. He blinked in confusion, taking it all in.

"All this?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I did this for you," Tanishka said with a hopeful smile. "I made lasagna—it's your favorite, right?"

Aryan's face remained expressionless as he replied, "Tanu, I've already had dinner."

She tried to maintain her smile, but there was a flicker of disappointment in her eyes. "Yeah, I know... but I made this just to spend some time with you," she said softly, trying to appeal to him.
