Tanishka looked at Anjali from head to toe, a faint smirk playing on her lips. "Oh, hi Anjali," she said, stepping inside the house with casual confidence.

Everyone gathered in the living room as Aahan leaned slightly toward Aryan and whispered to himself, "Ab yeh kyun aayi hai?" Aryan, who was descending the stairs while calling for Anjali, froze mid-step when he saw their uninvited guest.

"Tanu, tum?" he asked, his surprise evident. His gaze shifted between her and Anjali. Sensing the tension, Aryan quickly descended the stairs and stood beside Anjali, instinctively holding her hand.

Tanishka's eyes flicked to their entwined fingers, her grip on her purse tightening before she forced a smile. "Kyun, achha nahi laga mujhe dekh ke?" she teased lightly.

"Nahi, aisa nahi," Aryan responded, clearly flustered. "Mera matlab... tum toh wapas chali gayi thi?"

Tanishka's smirk deepened as her eyes met Anjali's. "Haan, chali gayi thi. Lekin kuch chhod gayi thi yahan. Aur woh lene hi vapas aayi hoon. Aur lekar hi jaungi," she said pointedly, her words dripping with hidden meaning.

Anjali, sensing the tension, decided to intervene, masking her unease with a sweet smile.

"Mujhe toh achha laga ki aap aayi. Aapko toh shaadi mein bhi hona chahiye tha. Joota churai ki rasam mein ek aap ki hi kami thi," she quipped, her tone light but with a subtle edge.

Aahan chuckled at her words, while Aryan smiled faintly, squeezing Anjali's hand in silent support.

Tanishka, however, clenched her jaw, her composure slipping for a moment before she forced another tight-lipped smile. "Khair," she said, brushing off the comment, "main thak gayi hoon. Samaan le jaati hoon upar."

She started making her way upstairs, and Anjali, out of courtesy, followed to show her the guest room. As they walked, Tanishka suddenly stopped in front of Aryan's bedroom.

She was about to step inside when Anjali caught her hand gently but firmly.

"Yeh guest room nahi hai," Anjali said, her tone polite but firm.

Tanishka turned to her, feigning innocence. "Haan, pata hai. Aryan ka kamra hai. God, jab main India mein thi, toh I used to stay in his room all the time," she said, letting her words linger provocatively.

Anjali smiled sweetly but didn't back down. "Haan, par ab yeh sirf unka kamra nahi hai. Yeh ab hum dono ka kamra hai," she replied, her words steady and laced with subtle authority.

Tanishka's jaw tightened as she forced another smile. "Oh, bhool jati hoon ki tum dono ki shaadi ho chuki hai," she said, her tone mocking.

"Bhoolna mat," Anjali replied with a sharpness that couldn't be ignored. "Kyunki aapke liye yaad rakhna bahut zaroori hai ki humari shaadi ho chuki hai."

She held Tanishka's gaze for a moment longer before stepping aside. "Chaliye, aapka samaan main guest room mein rakh deti hoon," she added, walking toward the guest room.
