Anjali looked between Aahan and Aryan, surprised. "Wait, you two are brothers?"

Aryan replied. "Yeah, Aahan is my younger brother. And you must be Arushi?"

Arushi nodded awkwardly. "Yeah, that's me."

"Big bro, you didn't tell me you'd be here!" Aahan exclaimed.

"Had a meeting, that's why," Aryan replied casually.

After some time passed, Anjali glanced outside and said, "It's getting late; we should get going, Arushi."

"Yeah, we should," Arushi agreed.

As they began to head their separate ways, Anjali turned to Aryan and said, "Once again, thank you for today."

Aryan looked at her, and in the soft moonlight, she seemed to glow differently. Her eyes felt like they had etched themselves into his memory.

"It's okay," he replied, trying to keep his expression neutral, unaware of the attraction blooming within him for the girl in front of him.

Anjali gave him small smile before leaving. Aryan watched her walk away, feeling a strange mix of contentment and longing. He couldn't shake off the feeling that something significant had just happened between them, something that neither of them fully understood yet.

Midnight - Aryan's POV

I lay on bed, staring at the ceiling. The events of the evening replayed in my mind, but it was Anjali's face that lingered the longest.I couldn't understand why i felt so drawn to her. It wasn't just her beauty, though she was undeniably beautiful. It was something deeper, something in the way she carried herself, the way she spoke, the way her eyes seemed to see right through mine.

I remembered the way she had thanked me, her voice soft and sincere. It had stirred something inside him, something he hadn't felt in a long time.I tried to shake off the feeling, telling Myself it was just a momentary infatuation. But the more I tried to dismiss it, the stronger it grew.

Anjali had a way of making me feel seen, truly seen, in a way that no one else had. She had a quiet strength about her, a resilience that i admired. And yet, there was a vulnerability too, a softness that made him want to protect her, to be there for her.

I sighed, turning over in bed.As i finally drifted off to sleep, one thought remained clear in my mind: Anjali had affected me in ways i couldn't yet fully understand, and he wasn't sure what to do about it.

The Next Morning—Anjali's House

"Anjali, get up! It's already noon!" Arushi called out, knocking on her door.

Anjali groaned and rolled over, squinting at the clock. It was indeed twelve o'clock. She had stayed up late, her mind racing with thoughts. The reality of her feelings was starting to sink in, and it frightened her. Memories from her past flooded her mind, bringing a lonely tear to her eye.
