Reader's POV
Yes.
Bakugo, of all people.
It was finally the morning of the Provisional License Exam, and you were in the girl's locker room, pulling up your hero suit.
This was the day you'd been waiting for—all of your hard work and dedication was finally going to pay off. You'd assumed this would be a breeze for the amount of time you'd been training. You were ready to face the rest of your classmates, Shiketsu, and the other schools participating.
You pulled down the sleeves of your hero suit, making sure everything was in check. You grabbed your bag, assuming most of the other students were already gathering near the buses that would transport you all to the site of the exam.
You pushed every other thought you had aside for this, knowing that if you let anything bother you, you'd be in deep shit during the exam. It would be detrimental to your strategy if you let your focus slip.
The night before, a lot of your classmates and friends were talking about the support course which was class 1-H and how they'd all just made newly formed gear to enhance their hero suits, so you'd gone to check it out. The students were insanely talented; you could hardly believe it. One girl, with pink locks and what appeared to be goggles above her head was helping out most of the students in your class. She was able to whip up a gadget which she referred to as her 'babies' in less than thirty seconds.
She was very.. out there, if you had to choose a word. Her name was Mei Hatsume, which was one you definitely recalled hearing around campus. She was all up on Jude and Sully who'd asked for some equipment, which—if you were being honest, you could hardly stand to watch. You'd gone to one of the other students in the support course to fix you up some enhancement equipment instead, even though it wouldn't be much use since your quirk was mental-based.
Upon getting outside of the campus, everyone was surrounding the buses that had just arrived, including those from the support course. You noticed Hatsume standing with some of her other friends from her class, holding a wrench that looked glued onto her right hand. Your eyes trailed around, it seemed to be a mixture of every class standing out here that you couldn't spot anyone from your own. The buses each had a class letter on it, so you were attempting to find yours.
The only issue was, who were you going to sit next to on the bus? You couldn't sit next to Jude, you surely didn't want to sit next to Bakugo, you'd distanced yourself from all of your other friends that it felt like you couldn't sit next to any of them either. You tried not to think much of it, and if worst came to worst, you'd just sit next to Mineta and throw on some headphones.
After all—no one sat by him anyway. And it would be the least awkward considering your situation right now. Once you'd spotted the bus your class was getting on, you hurried over to it, realizing that the other students were beginning to pour into their own buses. Your ears blocked out any of the nosy ruckus occurring in the background, and you tried to focus on what was at stake here.
None of your classmates even bothered to talk to you. Mina and Hagakure were in front of you, excitedly chatting about the exam and the boys that would be there from other schools. There seemed to be a lot of bustle about Shiketsu. Even though you tried to ignore the banter all around you, that was the one recurring word you continued to hear; Shiketsu.
