Bakugo's head darted away when yours did. "Do I need to talk to him? Why can't he just come up to me?" you whined. Bakugo started unraveling the wrapper of the delicacy he'd gotten from the vending machine. "Clearly, it's bothering the shit outta you—meanwhile, that bastard doesn't seem to care. I'm sure you know that's the damn truth.. If he ain't bold enough to talk to you, don't even bother by giving him a reaction."
You sighed, shrugging slightly. He definitely had a point. But then again, you couldn't read Jude. You didn't know his true intentions—as usual..
"Okay—well.. as much as I agree with that, it's just, I'm the one that sort of fucked up, here. Because after he told me about your past with him, he saw me hanging out with you," you started to ramble, but Bakugo interjected. "So you're gonna stop 'hanging out' with me then, or what? The hell does it look like, here?" his voice appeared more stern than before.
You furrowed your eyebrows, "Well, no, that's not what I said," you murmured, glancing over at him every few seconds as you spoke.
Bakugo scoffed, "I know you're not that dense, idiot." he stated. "I don't understand why the hell you're letting a damn extra control your actions like that. It's embarrassing. If he wants to talk to you, he'll do that himself. Quit worrying about what he thinks and do shit for yourself."
Once again, you despised how accurate he was with everything. He always made a point in everything he said. You felt guilty that you made him second guess your newfound 'friendship' with him, because that wasn't your intention whatsoever.
You truly did like being friends with him for who he was, and you knew that you shared a special bond with him whether he'd ever admit that or not. You felt like he was finally beginning to slowly warm up to you and open up more. He wasn't the 'rude' and 'arrogant' boy he deemed himself to be like before, he was different with you. Much. Different.
"So?" Bakugo questioned, shooting a glare at you as you wandered the halls together. You shrugged, "Yeah. You're right."
Bakugo grinned proudly, a slight hint of cockiness weaved into his expression. "You think those other extras stopped hanging out with you too because you're hanging out with me?" he then asked. You narrowed your eyes at him, slowing down your pace of walking. "Probably. Jude most likely said something to them because they all just love him!" you rolled your eyes sarcastically.
Bakugo kept his grin, but it was dialed down a bit more now. You huffed, "I don't know why they don't like you. Not.. in a mean way, but—you know."
You second-guessed your statement, "Okay—no, that's not true. It's not that they 'don't like you'.. I think you just have a strong personality and not a lot of people like that. Plus you're.. brutally honest, I guess? Sometimes, it's a bit much, but I really don't see why they don't wanna get to know you better," you confessed, "Like—with Jude, everyone instantly adores him and is infatuated with his energy, when they've barely even talked to him on a deeper level," you hated talking down on Jude because you knew it wasn't how you truly felt about him.
You just wanted to distract yourself from how he was making you feel.
Bakugo stuffed his hands into his pockets after taking a bite of the delicacy he held. "Where the hell is all this coming from?" he asked. You looked away for a moment, a confused expression plastered across your face with a hint of disgust. "Nowhere. I just noticed that. I feel like everyone's so quick to love Jude and it's like no one truly puts in the effort to understand someone who's misunderstood."
Bakugo furrowed his eyebrows, his posture was slouched and he lazily leaned against the wall. "Alright time traveler, pack up this philosophical shit."
