Seeing Camie and Jude together was something that caught you off guard. You knew they followed each other on Instagram, but you had no idea they were actually friends, let alone hanging out. It didn't sit right with you—especially after your strange encounter with Camie during the Provisional License Exam. The whole situation just felt off, like there was something you weren't quite seeing.
Bakugo started slowing down the car, getting back to another intersection. He decided to change the subject, "There something you wanna do in specific? I'm not trying to wander around for three hours," he tried to maintain a steady voice, but from all the yelling he's done, it constantly sounded scratchy no matter how calm he tried to sound.
He must've known you felt weird about seeing Jude and Camie, especially knowing that you and Jude had something going on.. well, you weren't so sure anymore.
You kept your gaze forward, "We can just eat or something," you replied quietly. Bakugo huffed, "Don't get all quiet on me, now," he raised his voice a little. You furrowed your eyebrows, "I just think it's weird," you responded, unsure of what else to say. Bakugo raised an eyebrow, "The blonde bastard and that stuck-up chick?" he questioned. You almost snorted at him referring to Camie as 'stuck-up'.
"That's one way to put it." you told him. You adjusted your posture a bit, letting out a sigh. "I just didn't know they were friends. That's all. So—it caught me off guard," you explained, motioning your hands while talking. "Plus, I had this.. insanely weird encounter with her during the exam, like—she full-on pulled out a knife on me! I doubt it was a part of her quirk because it slashed me a bit on my cheek," you added.
"And when I asked one of the other Shiketsu students about it, they even said she'd been acting really weird these past few days too." you glanced over at Bakugo who kept his eyebrows furrowed. "Tch. All of those kids are weird as hell." he stated. "Yeah, true," you agreed.
"She's gorgeous though. Like mesmerizing," you emphasized, "I stalked her Instagram a little, and holy shit she's breathtaking. I think she's a model too," you thought for a moment, trying to recall what you remember seeing on her account. Bakugo paused for a moment, "Someone has a crush or something," his voice seemed more stern. Your gaze darted in his direction, "That's a little too far!" you retorted.
After about half an hour, you finally found parking and were able to get out of the car. You walked around for some time, trying to find a place to eat until you finally came across a neat ramen shop that you two settled on. The streets were quite packed and people seemed out in about. The traffic was utterly horrendous, to say the least.
Once you were seated, you finally decided to continue your conversation with Bakugo. "So what else are you gonna do for the break?" you questioned the eerily calm ash-blonde across from you. He kept his eyebrows furrowed, he almost looked mad, but you knew it was just his usual expression.
He huffed, "None of your business," he said, glancing down at his phone that he was scrolling through. "Right—because that's such a personal question," you replied sarcastically. Bakugo shot you a sharp glance, "Training." he finally responded, though it was brief. You slowly nodded, "Sounds like you,"
Bakugo set his phone down and crossed his arms over his chest, his usual scowl in place. "So, when are you going back to re-do the Provisional License Exam?" you asked, hoping to spark some conversation. You knew being around people wasn't exactly his thing—he always seemed more guarded in crowded places like this, putting up those invisible walls that made it hard for anyone to really get through to him.
He shrugged, his crimson eyes catching the sunlight, making them appear lighter than usual. "Tch. It was that damn lady who failed me," he muttered. "They said we can go back and re-do that shit in a few weeks." You raised an eyebrow, curious. "What did you even do to fail?" He scoffed, his voice rough. "Those dumbasses still had limbs! It's not like they couldn't get up and help themselves!" his irritation was palpable, but you couldn't help but stifle a laugh at his frustration.
