(*Another Little Sucker -The Ghost Club)

Friday
November 1

Gliding across the ice, Tyler notices the familiar red haired man watching him from across the rink. He hadn't seen much of the Lunatics the last two weeks since the incident in the locker room. Ignoring him, he continues to practice his triple axel. He had finally landed his double just in time for his and Jenna's performance. The blonde girl had fallen during the actual scene, costing them a few points, but still placing them in the top five. Jenna was hard on herself about it, but luckily, with the team she has, she was back on the ice with confidence by her solo.

Besides Josh, Tyler is alone on the ice. It's unusually quiet for a Friday evening. The kid's skating class is being held in the smaller rink on the other side of the building so Tyler was happy to know the bigger location wouldn't be occupied. He feels a sense of peace as he skates around the rink, enjoying the sounds of his skates cutting through the ice. He warms up his muscles with a slow lap and a few stretches and then starts to work on his half of the routine he and Jenna had created for their next competition. With only two days of practice under his belt, he feels confident and pleased with his progress thus far.

Coming to a slow stop, the brunette eyes Josh curiously as he skates closer.

"Hey."

The boy stares in silence, wanting nothing more than to skate away, but also waiting for his chance to snap back at whatever asinine comment the hockey player has up his sleeve.

"Um," Josh continues after not getting a response. "I know Dallon kind of introduced us, but I'm Josh."

Tyler glances down at Josh's outreached hand. He doesn't retaliate, keeping a straight face, "I know."

Josh nods once, lowering his hand, "Right. Uh, h-how's your head?"

"My head?"

"Yeah, after landing on the puck?"

"It's fine," the brunette shrugs.

"I'm sorry about that."

"You threw the puck at me?" Tyler says, crossing his arms over his chest.

"No. No, I-I meant like...I'm sorry it happened. Ronnie is the one that tossed it. Radke. Number-"

"Yeah, I know him," Tyler rolls his eyes. "He a friend of yours?"

"If he was, I wouldn't be apologizing right now."

Tyler nods, keeping his arms across his torso. "What are you doing here?"

Taking in Josh's appearance, Tyler realizes how much bigger Josh is to him. The athlete towers over him, making the brunette feel slightly intimidated, if he's being honest. He won't let Josh know that, though.

"My little sister is in the kid's skating class."

"Good. At least she's not playing hockey."

Josh tilts his head in confusion, "Why is hockey a bad thing?"

"All of you guys are jerks. The last thing we need around here is another Lunatic," Tyler explains, slowly skating around Josh.

Josh spins with him, eyeing him, "We're not all bad. Dallon and Cody are cool. I like to think I'm pretty cool. Compared to the rest of them, anyway."

"I do like Dallon. I don't know Cody very well. But," Tyler stops in front of the man, "three out of the 20 of you...not very good odds of not meeting an asshole."

Josh smirks, "How long have you been skating?"

"Why do you care?"

"Just making conversation."
