Dallon sighs as he knocks on Tyler's door and waits patiently for it to open. When it does, a sleepy, squinty-eyed boy stares up at him.

"Can I help you?" Tyler whines lightly.

Dallon smiles, "Good morning, muffin."

Tyler yawns, "It's so early."

"It's nine o'clock."

"Can I help you?" the brunette repeats grumpily.

"Yes. You can help me by accompanying me for breakfast. On me."

"I'd rather eat off a plate, but I guess you work okay too."

"Go get dressed, brat," Dallon smiles.

Sighing in response, Tyler turns around and trudges to his bedroom, leaving his boyfriend at the open door. Dallon walks in and shuts the door behind him. He sits on the couch to wait and pulls out his phone.

"Is Josh coming?" Tyler asks from the bedroom.

"No, he's doing some work for his uncle. Said he'll be busy pretty much all day."

Dallon turns back to his phone when Tyler doesn't reply. After a few moments, he locks it and looks around aimlessly as he waits for the man.

His eyes gaze upon the coffee table in front of him. Furrowing his eyebrows slightly, he leans forward and reads the sheet of pink paper.

Ohio Notice of Eviction.

"Babe?!"

Dallon jumps slightly, "Yeah?!"

"I'm gonna shower real quick. If you want coffee or anything, you can brew some!"

"Alright!"

The tall man sighs and leans back against the couch, eyes not moving from the form on the table.

The two walk hand-in-hand into the small diner. Finding a booth near the back, a waitress approaches them with a polite smile.

"How are you doing, guys? What can I get you to drink?"

"Coffee, please."

"Just water."

"Alright, I will be right back with those."

Dallon smiles lightly at the man across from him, "How you doing, Tyty?"

"Not too bad," Tyler answers quietly. "How's Dallon?"

"Not bad myself. What looks good?"

Tyler hums as he scans the breakfast menu, "Pancakes."

"You and your damn pancakes."

The brunette smiles, "How are you doing without hockey?"

"It's rough, but I can't say I'm not happy to be able to relax. Josh and I were just talking about that before the last game."

"Bittersweet."

"Exactly."

"It is for me too," Tyler nods.

Dallon clears his throat, "What are you gonna do now that you're not skating?"

"I've been job hunting. It's kinda hard when you have no experience in anything at 24 years old though. The only thing on my resume is figure skating, and that's not exactly what McDonald's is looking for apparently."
