Paridhi's eyes fluttered open slowly, like butterflies testing their wings. The room was dim, and for a moment, she felt lost.

What time was it?

Her mind was foggy, struggling to catch up with her body.

She pushed herself up on her elbows, wincing slightly at the dull ache in her muscles.

Her eyes found the clock on the bedside bed, and she gasped.

"Eight o'clock?" she said out loud.

"How long was I asleep?"

Paridhi sat up fully, running her fingers through her messy hair.

The last thing she remembered was Abhimaan holding her close.

His gentle touch soothing away her pain, his soft words comforting her.

But after that... nothing.

She swung her legs over the side of the bed, her bare feet touching the cool floor.

Her body felt stiff, like she'd been sleeping for days instead of hours.

But Paridhi was happy to notice that the awful cramps from before had faded to just a slight ache.

"I need to freshen up," she murmured to herself, slowly standing up.

Paridhi wore her slippers and made her way to the washroom, her steps careful and slow.

Her body was still waking up, not quite ready for quick movements.

As she entered the washroom, her eyes fell on the bathtub.

A warm bath sounds heavenly.

She turned on the taps, adjusting the temperature until it was just right.

As the tub filled, Paridhi added some lavender scented bubbles, filling the room with a calming aroma.

She slipped out of her clothes and eased herself into the warm water, sighing as it enveloped her.

The warmth of the bath felt amazing on her tired muscles. Paridhi closed her eyes, letting herself relax completely.

A small smile tugged at her lips as she remembered Abhimaan's tenderness, the way he had cared for her without hesitation.

It never failed to amaze her how this man, known to the world as cold and ruthless, could be so gentle with her.

His icy glare could make grown men tremble. His sharp words could cut deeper than any knife.

People call him heartless, a machine driven only by ambition and success.

But with her?

With Paridhi....
