Next day

Paridhi's heart was doing little flips in her chest as she walked towards the gym. The protein shake in her hands was just an excuse.

She knew it, and worse, she was pretty sure Abhimaan knew it too. But she couldn't help herself.

Something about him pulled her closer every day, like a moth to flame.

Her peach colored saree rustled softly against the marble floors with each step. She was feeling much better now. The cramps were almost gone.

She'd spent extra time choosing it this morning, though she'd die before admitting that out loud.

The delicate fabric highlighted her curves in a way that made her both self-conscious and secretly pleased.

When she reached the heavy wooden doors of the gym, she paused.

Through the gap, she could hear Abhimaan's controlled breathing as he exercised. Just that sound made her pulse race even faster.

What was wrong with her?

She was acting like a lovesick teenager instead of the queen of Rajasthan!

Pushing the door open as quietly as possible, she froze at the sight before her.

Abhimaan was doing push ups, his powerful muscles rippling with each careful movement.

Sweat traced paths down his skin, highlighting every curve and dip of his perfectly sculpted back.

His dark hair was damp with sweat, a few strands falling across his forehead in a way that made her fingers itch to brush them away.

She stood there, completely stuck, unable to look away. The protein shake trembled slightly in her hands as she watched him, completely caught up in the raw power and grace of his movements.

Each push-up was perfect, showing years of dedicated training.

The early morning light streaming through the high windows caught the shine of sweat on his skin, making him look almost magical.

As if he could sense her presence or maybe he could hear her thundering heartbeat Abhimaan turned around.

His eyes darkened as they moved over her, lingering on the way her saree draped across her body.

That smirk she knew so well played across his lips, the one that never failed to make her knees turn to water.

"Are you hungry?" he asked, his voice low and teasing.

She knew exactly what he meant, but her mind was too foggy to form proper words.

"Hmm," was all she could manage.
