The world around Abhimaan froze. Four words hung in the air, trembling like fragile glass about to shatter.
"I want a divorce."
Abhimaan's hand, holding a small velvet ring box, began to shake. The carefully arranged roses around them seemed to mock his pain.
Their sweet smell, which moments ago promised love, now felt suffocating.
"What?" he whispered, his voice cracking.
Slowly, he rose from his bent knee. The ring box slipped from his fingers, hitting the marble floor with a soft thud that echoed like a thunderous explosion in his ears.
Fairy lights he had personally arranged continued to twinkle, their cheerful sparkle a cruel contrast to the devastating moment unfolding.
Just hours earlier, he had stood in this exact spot, carefully instructing staff about every detail.
Each rose petal, each light was positioned perfectly. Everything was meant to be magical.
Perfect for her.
Paridhi took a small step back, tears streaming down her beautiful face. Her arms wrapped around herself, as if trying to hold her breaking heart together.
Even in her pain, she was breathtaking.
She always did.
But her eyes those warm, loving eyes that once looked at him with pure adoration now burned with betrayal and deep hurt.
He had made a promise to himself. A promise he was now breaking. He would never make her cry.
"I know everything, Maan," she whispered.
Her voice trembling with a mixture of pain, betrayal, and disbelief.
Her words were so soft, yet they crashed into Abhimaan's heart like thunderbolts.
Her eyes, once pools of warmth and love, were now red-rimmed and glistening with tears that refused to stop.
They bore into his soul with an intensity that made him want to crumble.
Those eyes the same eyes that had looked at him with pure adoration just hours ago now burned with a pain so powerful that it seemed to strip away every layer of protection he had built around himself.
Abhimaan wanted to look away. He desperately wanted to escape her accusing stare, to find some refuge from the absolute devastation in her gaze.
But he couldn't.
Something kept him rooted to the spot, forced to witness the destruction of everything he held dear.
"How you......you purchased me," she said and closed her eyes in pain.
