“This office is going to miss you.” Rahul said, grabbing my attention. I turned to him. He came to drop me at the doorstep of the office. Today is my last day here, I have given my resignation letter. There are many memories of mine here, small company but a beautiful family to me.

I will miss this place, I will miss everything related to this one year. These were the best memories I could have ever made. Every single time I stayed in Manali was filled with something new. New talks, new people, new laughter but never any day disappointed me.

“I will miss this place the most.” I said while tears pooled up in my eyes.

He came and stood beside me and engulfed me in a brotherly side hug.

“Toh at last after one year you're going back. Any plans?” He asked. I looked at him and then in front of me where a bustling market was visible.

“No plans just wanna surprise them.” I said. We broke the hug and he kept his hands in both pockets.

“Take care of Riya till then.” I said. He looked at me with raised eyebrows and asked,

“Is it even needed to remind me?” A chuckle vibrated through my chest.

Yeah, it's not needed. Who I'm even asking, who is madly in love with her.

“You don't need to take tension from her or even from your house. Even if you're not here it will always be like how you're going to leave it.” He said.

“Thank you.” I mouthed.

He raised his eyebrows and then exhaled a deep breath.

“Seriously, a friend needs a thank you.” He asked and I moved my palm all over my face and chuckled deeply.

“Okay Sorry, my mistake.” I surrendered.

The next few minutes went like this. Talking about something random and just giving him the information of the last work I did for the company.

“Okay, I need to leave now.” I said.

He nodded his head and waved his hand to me to which I reciprocated with a soft smile and waved back.

I took a cab and it drove me away from the office to my house.

I slided down the back seat window and looked out. The cold monsoon breeze hitting my face brought a satisfying smile on my face. The smell of the wet soil hit my nostrils which reminded me that it will rain soon.

“Uncle, can you keep any song?” I asked while tilting my head to the front passenger seat. He nodded his head and switched to the live radio.

“Are you guys missing someone?” The words echoed in my ears making me concentrate on the talks of RJ.

“Yes, remember the other person is missing you the most.” This brought a smile to my face.

I know he Misses me every second.
