Aaradhya's POV

“Tell na.” I pushed dhruvi in front of my mother who was scrolling reels and laughing sometimes.

Dhruvi threw a deadly glare at me to which I threw a toothy smile and she sighed.

“Aunty..” Dhruvi hesitated.

“Hmm.” Maa hummed back looking once at Dhruvi and then going back to her screen.

“Aunty woh.. Aaru wants to ask something.” She threw me in front of maa, making me blank.

I will kill you Dhruvika Mahajan.

I glared at her and this time she gave me a tight lipped smile.

“What happened, beta?” Maa asked. Now keeping all her concentration on me. I gulped and smiled,

“Hum bahar jaa sakte hai?” I asked while smiling, nervously.
(“We can go outside?”)

“Jao.” She replied, making me smile.
(“Go.”)

“Btw, why are you asking? Your sister though never asks. Give her some brain like you have.” She scolded Mrunali making Dhruvi behind me chuckle.

“Hm.” I pinched Dhruvika's arms to stop her from laughing.

“Waise kahan jaa rahe ho?” She asked.
(“Btw, where are you going?”)

“Maa woh..” Dhruvika cut me off in the middle and said, “Aise hi.”
(“Simply”)

Dhruvika smiled and maa shrugged.

Dhruvika hit my head, making me glare at her. We both came back to my room where I released a deep breath which I had been catching for a long time.

“Tu pagal hai?” I shouted at Dhruvika who looked at me and ignored me.
(“Are you mad?”)

“I told you to ask but you threw it on me.” I said while folding my hands against my chest.

“Chill girl. Nothing happened right.” She squeezed her eyes and told me to take a seat on the sofa.

“What if..”

“Just cut this what if from your life, aaradhya.” Dhruvi said.

Dhruvika never calls me with my full name and if she does, she is serious at that moment.

“Always overthinking is not important, girl. It's part of the human mind, I know. Because not only you, everyone overthinks at one moment of their life but we can't live with that, right?” Dhruvi explained to me and I let her words fit into my tiny brain which unknowingly starts overthinking always.

Dhruvika is sometimes like a mother.

A chuckle escaped from my mouth when this thought crossed through my brain.
