It had been a few days since the incident with Max, and things had finally started to settle down. Oscar and Lando had spent a lot of time together, enjoying each other's company, finding comfort in the fact that they no longer had to hide their feelings—at least from themselves. The only ones who knew about their relationship were Charles and Arthur, and they respected Oscar and Lando's decision to keep it a secret from everyone else.
It was Friday afternoon, and Oscar was pacing around his room, excitedly glancing at his phone every few seconds. Lando was on his way to pick him up, and they were going to spend the evening together at a beachside villa that Lando's family owned. The thought of watching the sunset together made Oscar's heart race. It felt like the perfect way to spend the end of a long week.
The doorbell rang, and Oscar heard his mother, Nicole, call out from downstairs. "Oscar! Lando's here!"
Oscar grabbed his bag and rushed downstairs, greeted by the sight of Lando standing in the doorway, smiling that heart-melting smile that made Oscar feel like the luckiest guy in the world.
"Hey," Lando greeted, giving him a playful nudge. "Ready for our little adventure?"
"More than ready... the last one was perfect, so I have better expectations this time." Oscar replied, smirking and unable to hide his excitement.
Nicole watched them with a smile. She'd grown fond of Lando over the past few weeks, noticing how happy her son was whenever he was around. "You boys have fun, and Lando, take care of my Oscar," she teased.
"Always, Nicole," Lando said with a wink. She chuckled, waving them off as they headed to Lando's car.
The drive to the beach was filled with light-hearted conversation and shared laughter, with Lando's music playing softly in the background. Oscar looked out the window as the landscape shifted from urban buildings to the scenic coastline. His excitement grew with every passing mile.
When they arrived at the villa, the sun was already beginning its slow descent, painting the sky in hues of orange, pink, and purple. The beach was deserted, leaving them in a quiet, private bubble. The villa itself was small but cozy, with large windows facing the ocean, offering a perfect view of the setting sun.
"This place is incredible," Oscar said, his eyes wide with amazement.
"I'm glad you like it," Lando replied, reaching for Oscar's hand. "Come on, let's catch the sunset before it's too late."
They made their way down to the soft sand, the cool ocean breeze gently tousling their hair. They sat down side by side, their shoulders touching, as they watched the sun slowly dip below the horizon. Oscar felt a sense of peace wash over him, a feeling he hadn't experienced in a long time. Being with Lando made everything feel right.
"You know," Lando began, breaking the comfortable silence, "I've always loved the beach. There's something about it that just feels... free."
Oscar turned to look at him, catching the way the fading sunlight danced in Lando's eyes. "Yeah, I get that. It's like... all your worries just disappear when you're here."
Lando nodded, his gaze never leaving Oscar's. "That's how I feel when I'm with you."
Oscar's breath caught in his throat. There was something so genuine, so sincere in Lando's voice that made his heart skip a beat. He swallowed hard, feeling the warmth of Lando's hand slowly slide over his. He intertwined their fingers, the simple gesture feeling like the most natural thing in the world.
"Can I... can I kiss you?" Lando asked softly, his voice barely louder than a whisper.
Oscar didn't trust his voice, so he simply nodded. Lando leaned in, closing the small gap between them. His lips brushed against Oscar's tentatively at first, testing the waters. Oscar responded, tilting his head to deepen the kiss, feeling Lando's warmth spread through him. It was soft, slow, and filled with unspoken emotions, a kiss that spoke of all the things they hadn't said yet. Lando's tongue lightly licked Oscar's lip, asking for permission to enter. Oscar didn't dwell on his thoughts at all and opened his mouth, their tongues connecting and enjoying the other's saliva. Both wanted more and more of the other selfishly.
Oscar's hand moved to Lando's cheek, his fingers tracing the outline of his jaw. He felt Lando smile against his lips before pulling back slightly, just enough to look into Oscar's eyes. "You're amazing, you know that?" Lando murmured.
Oscar blushed, feeling a shiver run down his spine. "You're not too bad yourself," he replied, his voice breathless.
"Not too bad?" Lando chuckled, leaning in to capture Oscar's lips again. This time, the kiss was more passionate, more urgent. Lando's hand moved to the back of Oscar's neck, his fingers tangling in his hair as he pulled him closer. Oscar could feel his heart racing, pounding against his chest, but he didn't want to stop. He wanted to stay in this moment forever.
The sound of the waves crashing against the shore filled the silence around them, blending with the rhythm of their breathing. They pulled away again, foreheads resting against each other as they tried to catch their breath.
"I wish we could stay here forever," Oscar whispered, his fingers still tangled with Lando's.
"Me too," Lando agreed, pressing a soft kiss to Oscar's forehead. "But as long as we're together, it doesn't matter where we are."
Oscar smiled, feeling his heart swell with affection. "You always know exactly what to say."
"Only when it comes to you," Lando teased, earning a playful nudge from Oscar.
They sat there for a while longer, wrapped up in each other, watching as the last of the sun's light disappeared beyond the horizon. The sky grew darker, and the stars began to emerge, one by one, twinkling above them.
"Come on," Lando said, finally breaking the silence. "Let's head back to the villa. It's getting cold."
Oscar nodded, allowing Lando to help him up. They made their way back, their hands still clasped together. Inside the villa, Lando pulled out a couple of blankets and wrapped one around Oscar's shoulders before settling down on the couch with him.
"Thank you for today," Oscar said, resting his head on Lando's shoulder. "It's been perfect."
"It's only perfect because you're here," Lando replied, pressing a kiss to the top of Oscar's head.
They sat in comfortable silence, wrapped up in each other, feeling the warmth of the blankets and the heat of their bodies mingling together. For the first time in a long time, Oscar felt like he was exactly where he was meant to be.
