Oscar woke up to the warmth of Lando's arm wrapped around his waist, his body pressed close against him. The memories of last night flooded back, and Oscar felt his cheeks flush. He turned slowly, careful not to wake Lando, and watched him sleep. The peaceful look on his face, so different from the tense expression he usually wore, made Oscar's heart swell with affection. He took in every detail—the light stubble on Lando's jaw, the curve of his lips, and the way his hair fell messily over his forehead.

Unable to resist, Oscar leaned in and brushed a gentle kiss against Lando's cheek. He felt Lando stir, his eyes fluttering open, sleepy and half-lidded. A soft smile formed on Lando's lips as he pulled Oscar closer, his voice still heavy with sleep.

"Morning," Lando mumbled, his breath warm against Oscar's skin.

"Morning," Oscar replied, feeling a surge of happiness just from seeing Lando's smile.

They lay there for a while, wrapped in each other's arms, basking in the quiet intimacy of the morning. It was as if the world outside didn't exist, and for a brief moment, it was just the two of them. But the rumbling of Oscar's stomach broke the silence, making them both laugh.

"Looks like someone's hungry," Lando teased, brushing his nose against Oscar's.

"Well, we did work up quite an appetite last night," Oscar replied cheekily, earning a playful nudge from Lando.

"Let's make breakfast," Lando suggested, untangling himself from the sheets and pulling Oscar out of bed.

They made their way to the kitchen, still dressed in their pajamas. The atmosphere between them was easy, comfortable, and so filled with love that Oscar felt his heart could burst. Lando cracked eggs into a pan while Oscar sliced bread, their movements synchronized as if they'd been doing this together for years.

"Nicole's going to kill me if I don't bring you back soon," Lando joked, flipping the eggs expertly.

Oscar chuckled. "Oh, she already loves you too much to kill you. She'd probably just ground me for life instead."

The mention of his mom brought a pang of guilt, though. He hadn't told her about everything that had happened, and he knew she'd been worried sick. Lando seemed to sense his thoughts drifting because he nudged Oscar gently with his hip, a reassuring smile on his face.

"We'll go see her after breakfast, okay?"

Oscar nodded, grateful. "Okay."

After they finished eating, they cleaned up and got ready to head back to Oscar's house. The drive was short, and Lando kept one hand on the steering wheel while the other rested on Oscar's thigh, tracing soothing circles with his thumb. It was a small gesture, but it grounded Oscar, reminding him that Lando was right there with him.

When they arrived, Nicole was already waiting by the door, her face lighting up the moment she saw them. She pulled Oscar into a tight hug, her voice shaky with emotion. "I was so worried about you, Oscar. You didn't answer my calls."

"I'm sorry, Mom," Oscar whispered, hugging her back. "I'm okay now, I promise."

Nicole pulled back slightly, her eyes moving to Lando. "Thank you," she said, her voice thick with gratitude. "Thank you for bringing him back."

Lando smiled warmly. "It's no problem at all, Nicole. You know I'd do anything for him."

Nicole patted his arm affectionately. "You're a good boy, Lando. I'm glad Oscar has you."
