Chapter 22 Adrian's House

Triton arrives at Adrian's house; he gets out of his truck and knocks on the door. Adrian opens the door with a short night dress on Triton and stares at her up and down.
Adrian: Well, don't stand there. Come inside, goofy!
Triton walks inside
Triton: Something smells good!
Adrian: That's my pot roast I made. Would you like some?
Triton: Is that a question? Of course, I would like some!
Triton sits at the dinner table, and Adrian goes to make their plate. She takes out two wine glasses and pours Stella Rosa into both glasses. Adrian looked back and noticed Triton was paying attention to his phone. She sneaks a pill inside of his drink and mixes it up. She brings their food and drink to the table.
Adrian: Here you go! I hope you enjoy the food!
Triton: Thank you! May I ask why are you doing all of this?
Adrian: Doing all of what?
Triton: You're feeding me one of my favorite meals and poured one of my favorite wines!
Adrian: What, is it a crime to do something nice for my friend?
Triton looks at Adrian and smiles. He takes a bite of his food and sips his drink.
Triton: This food is delicious!
Adrian: Thank you, this is my grandmother's recipe!
Triton: Is this the only reason you invited me over?
Adrian smiles at Triton while he takes more sips of his wine.
Adrian: Maybe I just wanted to do something nice for my friend!
Triton: Well, thanks, friend! I enjoyed everything. I better get going.
Triton stands up and gets dizzy, and his eyes blur! Adrian notices he is becoming weak!
Adrian: Maybe you should lay down briefly before you leave.
Adrian takes Triton's hand and leads him to her bedroom. She helps him in bed, lying him down, and seduces him! Triton's phone starts ringing. Malone was calling him. He was too weak and caught in the moment to answer his phone. Malone realizes it is midnight and still hasn't heard from Triton. She decides to call Roselle. Roselle's phone starts to ring. She looked at the time and began worrying because Malone had never called her this late.
Roselle: Hey, It's 12:15 am. Is everything okay?
Malone: Yes, I'm fine! I was just wondering if Triton is with Chris.
Roselle: No, he isn't. Chris is right here sleeping. Is there something wrong?
Malone: Of course, once again, we argued. He left around 7:00 pm. I haven't heard from him. I've been calling him, but he's not answering his phone.
Roselle: Maybe he's with his other friend!
Malone: Right! "His other friend"!
Roselle: I'm sorry, Malone, I didn't mean it like that!
Malone: No, it's okay. I'm sorry I woke you!
Malone hangs up the phone and lays back down.
Meanwhile, at Adrian's house, Triton finally had shaken out of his Drunkenness.
Triton: UGH! I can't remember a thing!
Adrian stands there with a cup of water in her hand and gives it to Triton. He grabs the water.
Adrian: Drink all the water; it will help you.
Triton feels around in the bed for his phone
Triton: Wait! Where is my phone?
Adrian: It's right here on the nightstand!
Adrian hands Triton his phone
Triton: I have to go. It's 2:00 am, and Malone is going to kill me!
Adrian rolls her eyes while Triton puts on his clothes.
Adrian: MALONE, MALONE, MALONE! That's all you ever talk about!
Triton: She is my wife! You do remember that.
Adrian: I can't help but not to remember as much as you bring her up!
Triton: Look! I'll talk to you later! I have to go!
Adrian: Yeah, that's right, run home to your wife! Right after you just got done having sex with me! Do you even love your wife? After the last few times we had, I can't tell!
Triton looks at Adrian
Triton: You're being delusional! Of course, I love my wife! We are just going through a difficult time right now!
Adrian: Yeah, well, I find that hard to believe!
Triton: All of this, what we had going on, stops today! Right now, today!
Triton walks away and slams the door. Adrian screams and walks to her room. Triton arrives home at 4:00 am. Malone is downstairs waiting for him to walk through the door. She tried to rest, but her intuition would not allow her to sleep! Triton walks into the house and sees Malone with an evil look on her face!
Malone: So where have you been this time, Triton? I dare you to lie to me and say you were with Chris! I called Roselle. Chris was in bed next to her sleep! How I expected my husband to be!
Triton: I had a few drinks with my friend!
Malone: Friend!
Malone puts her hand on her forehead
Malone: You know what, Triton? You're not about to stress me out! I'm pregnant with our Child Triton! Does any of that even matter to you?
Triton: Of course, it matters to me, Malone!
Malone: I CAN'T TELL BY YOUR ACTIONS! You know, when we got married four years ago, we took a vow! It is not only a vow; we make a covenant with God, Triton! Therefore, if we do anything wrong in our marriage, we have to answer to him! Everything done in the dark always comes to the light!
As Malone walks away, Triton pulls her close to him. She smells another woman perfumed on him and slaps him.
Triton: WHAT THE HELL MALONE!
Malone: Yeah, here's some advice for you, Triton! Make sure you spray or at least change your shirt next time! I smell "the friend "on you! I'm leaving tomorrow and will stay with my parents for a few days! Don't bother calling to check on me because I won't answer! Malone walks off and goes upstairs, slams and locks the door! Triton walks into one of the guest rooms and lies down.
