As Jennie and Rosé stood there, wrapped in each other's arms under the fading light of the sunset, Jennie wiped away her happy tears. Rosé kissed her cheek gently, her heart still pounding from the moment she had just lived through—Jennie had said yes. The world felt perfect, more complete than ever before.

They turned toward Hayoon, who had been blissfully unaware, still crouched down by the shoreline, sorting through her collection of shells. Jennie smiled, her voice soft and filled with emotion as she called out, "Hayoon, come here, baby."

Hayoon looked up, noticing her mom's tear-streaked face. She furrowed her little brows and ran over, her tiny feet kicking up sand as she closed the gap between them.

"Mommy? Why are you crying?" she asked, concern evident in her voice. Jennie knelt down and took Hayoon's small hands into hers, trying to keep her emotions steady as she showed her the delicate ring on her finger.

"Look, sweetheart," Jennie said with a trembling smile, holding up her hand. "Look at what Auntie Rosie gave me."

Hayoon's eyes widened, her gaze fixated on the ring. She tilted her head, confused but curious. "What's that, Mommy?" she asked, touching Jennie's hand carefully as if the ring was something magical.

Jennie glanced up at Rosé, her heart swelling with even more love. She smiled back at Hayoon. "It's a ring, baby. It's because Auntie Rosie asked me a very special question."

Rosé knelt down beside Jennie, leveling herself with Hayoon, her hand still resting gently on Jennie's back. Her eyes twinkled as she spoke to Hayoon. "Your mommy and I are getting married," she said softly, smiling as Hayoon blinked in surprise. "Is it okay if I become your other mommy?"

Hayoon's face lit up with excitement, but then she frowned slightly, her innocent curiosity taking over. "But... you and Mommy can't have the same name, right?" she asked, her small voice full of genuine confusion.

Jennie and Rosé exchanged a look before they both burst out laughing, their hearts warmed by Hayoon's sweet sincerity. Rosé gently brushed a stray lock of hair from Hayoon's face and said, "No, love. You don't have to call me 'Mommy' if you don't want to. You can call me something else. What I mean is that you'll have two mommies who love you very much."

Hayoon's face brightened again as she understood. "Oh! Two mommies!" she said excitedly, clapping her hands together. She still didn't fully grasp how things were changing, but the excitement in her little heart was clear. She threw her arms around both of them, squeezing tight. "Yay! I'm happy!"

Jennie's eyes filled with tears again, but this time, they were tears of overwhelming joy. She kissed the top of Hayoon's head and smiled up at Rosé. "We can finally be a real family," Jennie whispered, her voice catching. "A family family."

Rosé's eyes softened, filled with so much love as she nodded in agreement. "Yes. A family."

Jennie pulled out her phone, wanting to capture this perfect moment. "Come on, let's take a picture," she said, pulling Rosé and Hayoon closer to her.

They huddled together, arms wrapped around each other, and Jennie snapped a couple of photos. Hayoon, her curiosity piqued by Jennie's phone, jumped up and down. "I wanna take a picture! Can I? Can I?"

Jennie laughed and handed her the phone, showing her where to press. "Okay, but be careful."

Hayoon, with her small hands barely able to hold the phone properly, tried her best. The picture came out crooked and slightly slanted, but the joy in their faces was undeniable. It was a perfect representation of the day—imperfectly perfect.

Jennie and Rosé looked at the photo and laughed. "Well, she's definitely got her own style," Jennie said, beaming.

Just as they were about to take another picture, Jennie noticed movement from behind them. She turned around and gasped, her hands flying up to her mouth. Standing at the edge of the private beach was Mrs. Choi, along with both Jennie and Rosé's parents, all smiling widely.

"Surprise!" Mrs. Choi called out, waving. "We couldn't miss this moment."

Jennie's eyes filled with even more tears as she stood frozen, overwhelmed by emotion. Rosé gave her a soft nudge, her smile growing wider as Jennie turned toward her in disbelief. "You did this?" Jennie whispered, her voice cracking.

Rosé nodded, her heart pounding with pride. "I wanted to make sure today was perfect—for all of us."

Jennie didn't need any more words. She launched herself into Rosé's arms, holding her tightly as more tears spilled over. Rosé kissed her hair, holding her close, feeling the absolute joy radiating from Jennie.

Their parents quickly made their way over, enveloping both Jennie and Rosé in hugs, congratulating them with tears of their own. Jennie's mother held her daughter tightly, her voice thick with emotion. "I'm so proud of you, Jennie. So, so proud."

Jennie pulled back and wiped her tears, her heart too full for words. She hugged Rosé's parents next, overwhelmed by the outpouring of love from all sides.

Mrs. Choi, ever the organized one, pulled out her camera and began snapping pictures. "Alright, let's get some proper shots. First, the happy couple!"

Jennie and Rosé posed together, arms wrapped around each other, their smiles as bright as the setting sun behind them. Mrs. Choi clicked away, capturing every moment.

"Now, let's get the family!" she said, waving everyone over.

Hayoon ran into Jennie's arms as both sets of parents joined them for a group photo. The entire family stood together, united in this perfect, blissful moment. Hayoon, still beaming from the excitement of the day, waved her small hand at the camera, adding her own little spark to the moment.

After the photos were taken, everyone hugged again, laughter and conversation filling the air. Jennie stood back for a moment, watching her parents and Rosé's parents chat together, seeing the love and acceptance between them. She had always dreamed of this day, but it was even more beautiful than she had ever imagined.

Rosé came up behind her, wrapping her arms around Jennie's waist and resting her chin on her head. "It couldn't have gone any better, could it?" Rosé asked softly, her voice filled with quiet joy.

Jennie shook her head, leaning back into Rosé. "No," she whispered, her heart swelling with so much love it almost hurt. "It was perfect. Everything I could have ever wanted. Thank you, Rosie."

Rosé smiled against Jennie's head, tightening her hold on her. "No, thank you, love. For saying yes. For giving me the family I've always wanted."

They stood there for a moment, just the two of them, watching as their family continued to laugh and celebrate nearby. The sun had fully set by now, and the soft glow of the ambient lights along the beach cast a warm, golden hue over everything.

The proposal had been everything Rosé dreamed of and everything Jennie wanted—simple, yet grand in its own way. It was intimate, heartfelt, and filled with love. It marked the beginning of the rest of their lives together, a promise not just between them, but a promise to Hayoon as well.

As the night stretched on, surrounded by the people they loved most, Jennie and Rosé held each other close, their hearts full of hope for the future. They were a family—finally, a family. And nothing could ever break the bond they had formed.
