The sun was barely peeking over the horizon when Jennie stirred awake. She blinked sleepily, the warmth of Rosé's arm wrapped loosely around her waist making her smile. The room was still quiet, save for the faint sound of waves crashing outside their villa. They were both slightly jetlagged, the long travel leaving them tired but restless.

Rosé grumbled beside her, her face buried in Jennie's neck. "Too early..." she mumbled, pulling Jennie closer.

Jennie chuckled softly, her fingers running through Rosé's messy bed hair. "I know, love, but we're up now."

Just as they were settling back into the silence, a small voice broke through. "Mommy! Auntie Rosie! Can we go to the beach? Please?"

It was Hayoon, already bouncing on the edge of their bed, her eyes wide with excitement. She looked out the large windows to the beach, practically vibrating with energy. Jennie and Rosé exchanged a glance, both sighing with amused smiles. They had planned to take it easy, but there was no denying Hayoon when she had her heart set on something.

"How can we say no to that face?" Jennie sighed, ruffling Hayoon's hair as she pulled her up onto the bed for a quick cuddle. "Alright, alright. But we're going now, before it gets too hot, okay?"

Hayoon squealed in delight, wriggling out of her mother's arms and running to grab her swimsuit. Rosé groaned softly, still half-asleep, but she couldn't help the smile tugging at her lips. There was something so sweet about the way Hayoon was always full of energy, ready for the next adventure.

"Guess that means we're going to the beach," Rosé mumbled, her voice still groggy but laced with fondness. She pulled Jennie close for a quick peck on the lips before rolling out of bed to get ready.

Within half an hour, the three of them were walking down the private path to the white sand beach, their feet sinking into the cool morning sand. The sun hadn't yet climbed too high, leaving the breeze fresh and light.

Hayoon ran ahead, laughing as she tried to outrun the small waves that lapped at her feet. Rosé watched her with a soft smile, her heart swelling with love. This was everything she had ever wanted—her family, the ocean, and a moment of peace. She reached out and took Jennie's hand, giving it a gentle squeeze.

"She's getting so big," Rosé said quietly, her eyes never leaving Hayoon as she splashed around. "I still can't believe how fast time's flying."

Jennie leaned into her, resting her head on Rosé's shoulder. "I know. I blinked, and suddenly she's seven. But we're making the most of it, right?"

Rosé nodded, her heart feeling both full and nervous at the same time. This was perfect—being here with Jennie and Hayoon—but the proposal weighed on her mind. She had everything planned, but the anticipation was slowly turning into stress. The more she thought about it, the more her nerves rattled.

And then, of course, there was another issue.

Just as she was getting lost in the serenity of the moment, her phone buzzed in her pocket. She hesitated, pulling it out with a sigh. Mrs. Choi. Again. Rosé's stomach dropped.

What now?

Rosé stepped away from Jennie and Hayoon, answering the call with a low voice. Mrs. Choi was apologetic but had run into another hiccup with the proposal arrangements. Rosé's anxiety spiked. She pressed a hand to her forehead, trying to stay calm as they discussed the latest issue. Thankfully, after a few minutes, it was resolved. But Rosé's nerves were shot.

I just want this proposal done already. She thought, glancing back at Jennie and Hayoon, both laughing as they built sandcastles together. Rosé sighed, pushing her frustration aside. She didn't want her stress to ruin the moment.

By the time she returned, Jennie was eyeing her curiously. "Everything okay?"

Rosé forced a smile, slipping back into her role of cool and collected. "Yeah, just sorting out some plans for the week. You know, activities and stuff."

Jennie tilted her head, intrigued. "Plans? What kind of activities?"

Rosé shrugged casually, though her heart was still racing. "You know, fun stuff. We're helping baby turtles tomorrow, going snorkeling the next day, maybe some whale watching..."

Jennie's eyes lit up at the mention of turtles. "Hayoon will love that."

But then Rosé added, almost too casually, "Oh, and there's a special dinner for just us two later in the week. Formal. No Hayoon."

Jennie's eyebrows shot up, and a knowing smile spread across her face. She tried to hide it, but Rosé saw it instantly.

"What?" Rosé asked, trying to play it cool, but the way Jennie's face lit up made her laugh.

"Nothing," Jennie giggled, giving her a playful glance.

Rosé felt her stomach do a small flip. She knows something. Jennie could read her like a book, and there was no hiding that she was up to something. Still, Rosé tried her best not to give anything away. It was hard, though, seeing the sparkle in Jennie's eyes, knowing her girlfriend was onto her.

"You're making a face," Rosé teased, nudging Jennie's shoulder gently.

Jennie just laughed again, shaking her head. "I'm not! I'm just excited, that's all."

"Uh-huh," Rosé smiled, biting her lip to keep herself from spilling the truth.

The rest of the morning passed in blissful moments—splashing in the ocean, chasing Hayoon down the beach, and soaking up the early sun. But Jennie's curiosity never left. The way Rosé was avoiding her knowing looks only fueled her suspicions, but she kept it to herself. Jennie didn't want to ruin the surprise, not when it was so obvious Rosé was working hard to make something special happen.

Later that afternoon, after a long, satisfying nap and lunch, Rosé slipped into the bathroom for a quick shower. Jennie, meanwhile, found herself buzzing with anticipation. The idea of a special, formal dinner just for them made her heart race. She couldn't help but think, Could this really be it?

She sat on the edge of the bed, already thinking about what to wear, how to style her hair, and what kind of makeup would go with the evening. Something elegant, but simple. Rosé loves when I wear my hair down... maybe a soft wave.

Jennie felt herself smile, her excitement growing. She didn't want to get her hopes up, but everything about this trip felt like it was leading to something. She wasn't sure what, but she had the strongest feeling in her chest that something big was coming.
