After dinner, Kaminari and Aiko moved to the living room, where Kaminari eagerly suggested they watch a movie. Naturally, he picked a comedy. He had noticed how much he loved hearing Aiko laugh, and since they'd already shared some deeper, more personal conversations over dinner, he figured ending the night on a lighter note would be the perfect way to wrap things up.

"Okay, so hear me out," Kaminari said with a grin, scrolling through the list of movies. "This one's hilarious. It's one of those movies that's just ridiculous in the best way possible."

Aiko raised an eyebrow, her lips curving into a soft smile. "Ridiculous, huh? I'm intrigued."

"Oh, you'll love it," Kaminari replied, hitting play before settling onto the couch beside her. "Trust me."

As the movie played, Kaminari's instincts were right—Aiko laughed at all the right moments, and each time, it sent a wave of warmth through him. He found himself glancing at her from time to time, more focused on the way her eyes lit up with amusement than the movie itself. Her laughter was soft but genuine, and it made him feel like he was doing something right.

"I told you," Kaminari said with a playful nudge as Aiko laughed at another scene. "This movie's pure gold."

Aiko shook her head, smiling as she caught her breath. "I have to admit, it's funnier than I expected. You've got good taste in comedies."

"See? I've got hidden talents," he joked, stretching his arms behind his head with a proud grin.

The movie ended a little while later, and as the credits rolled, they lingered in the comfortable silence that followed. Kaminari felt more relaxed than he had in a long time, content just being there with her.

"That was fun," Aiko said, turning to him with a soft smile. "Thanks for suggesting it."

"Anytime," Kaminari replied, flashing her a grin. "We'll have to do it again."

But as he glanced at the clock on the wall, he realized how late it had gotten. "Whoa, I didn't even notice the time. I should probably get going."

Aiko followed his gaze and nodded. "It is getting late. I'll walk you to the door."

They both stood up, and Aiko walked beside him as they made their way to the front door. The evening had been relaxing, and Aiko felt a sense of warmth and contentment, but as they reached the door, she hesitated. She had been thinking about asking for his number earlier, but now, as he prepared to leave, the thought came back stronger.

She swallowed her nerves and, before she could overthink it, spoke up.

"Hey, Kaminari?" Aiko said, her voice soft but steady.

"Yeah?" He turned to face her, his expression curious.

Aiko took a small breath, her heart fluttering slightly. "We, um, haven't exchanged numbers yet. I was thinking... maybe we should? It'd be easier to plan the next hangout that way."

Kaminari blinked in surprise, and for a split second, Aiko saw the faintest hint of flustered excitement on his face. He quickly recovered, a grin spreading across his lips.

"Oh, yeah, of course! I mean, I can't believe we haven't done that yet. Here, let me..." He fumbled for his phone, pulling it out and handing it to her.

They both exchanged phones, and Aiko carefully typed in her number while Kaminari did the same. It felt like a simple gesture, but there was something almost intimate about it—the idea of being able to reach out to each other, anytime they wanted.

"There we go," Kaminari said, handing her phone back with a grin. "Now you can bug me anytime you want."

Aiko smiled, her nerves fading. "Likewise."

They lingered at the door for a moment longer, the comfortable silence between them filled with unspoken warmth. Kaminari rubbed the back of his neck, glancing at her with that same playful, easygoing smile.

"Thanks again for dinner. I had a great time tonight," he said sincerely.

"I'm glad you did," Aiko replied, her voice soft. "I did too. We should do this again soon."

"Definitely," Kaminari nodded. "Next time, I'll bring dessert."

They exchanged one last smile before Aiko opened the door, letting Kaminari step out into the cool night air. He turned back to her, giving a small wave.

"Goodnight, Aiko."

"Goodnight, Kaminari," she replied, watching as he walked down the path before gently closing the door behind him.

Aiko moved around her home, tidying up the dishes and getting ready for bed. She felt a quiet sense of satisfaction from the evening—the dinner, the movie, the conversation—it had all been so easy, so natural. And now, they had each other's numbers, which meant they wouldn't have to rely on random visits anymore.

As she slipped into bed, her phone buzzed on the nightstand. She reached for it and saw a message from Kaminari.

"Had a great time tonight. Thanks again for dinner! Can't wait for next time :) "

Aiko smiled to herself, feeling that familiar warmth in her chest as she read the message. Without hesitating, she typed out a quick reply.

"I'm glad you enjoyed it. I had fun too. Looking forward to next time."

She placed her phoneback on the nightstand, her smile lingering as she settled under the covers. With thoughts of Kaminari still floating in her mind, she drifted off to sleep, looking forward to whatever might come next.
