The morning light streamed through the large windows of the rehabilitation facility as Aiko sat at her desk, going through some paperwork. Despite the usual hustle and bustle of her day, her mind kept drifting back to the previous night—dinner at Kaminari's place, meeting his friends, and, of course, the kiss they had shared outside his door. It was still fresh in her mind, and each time she thought about it, a soft smile tugged at her lips.

"You're looking awfully smiley this morning," a familiar voice chimed in.

Aiko looked up to see her closest coworker, Mayumi, standing in the doorway with a knowing grin on her face.

"Oh, good morning, Mayumi," Aiko greeted, trying to play it cool as she shifted some papers around.

"Don't 'good morning' me," Mayumi teased, walking into the office and leaning against the desk. "That smile isn't your usual morning face. Something happened last night, didn't it?"

Aiko hesitated for a moment before sighing softly, realizing there was no point in trying to hide it. Mayumi always had a knack for reading her.

"Alright, fine," Aiko admitted, smiling again. "I had dinner at Kaminari's place last night."

Mayumi's eyes lit up, her grin widening. "I knew it! Spill. How was it? What did you two do?"

Aiko chuckled, leaning back in her chair. "It was really nice. He made dinner, his friends came over unexpectantly, and..." She hesitated, the memory of the kiss making her heart flutter. "We kissed."

Mayumi gasped dramatically, placing a hand over her chest. "Oh my god, Aiko! That's huge! How was it? Did it feel right? Tell me everything!"

Aiko laughed softly at her friend's enthusiasm. "It felt... right. We've been getting closer for a while now, and last night, it just happened. It wasn't planned, but I'm glad it did."

Mayumi beamed. "That's amazing! So, do you think he's going to ask you out soon?"

Aiko paused, her expression becoming more thoughtful. "I don't know... I think so? I mean, we definitely have feelings for each other. We wouldn't have kissed if we didn't. But Kaminari can be a little hesitant. He's careful, which I appreciate, but I'm not sure when he'll take that next step."

"Sounds like he's head over heels for you," Mayumi said with a grin. "I bet he's already thinking about how to ask you out."

Aiko smiled at the thought. "Maybe... we'll see. I'm not in a rush, though. I'm enjoying getting to know him."

"You're so calm about this," Mayumi teased, nudging her lightly. "If it were me, I'd be losing my mind right now."

"Trust me, I'm excited," Aiko replied, laughing softly. "But I like how things are going. He's different from anyone I've met before. It feels easy with him, even with the chaos of his hero life."

Mayumi smiled warmly, clearly happy for her friend. "Well, whatever happens, I'm rooting for you two. You deserve this, Aiko."

"Thanks, Mayumi," Aiko said, appreciating her friend's support.

The rest of Aiko's day passed in a blur of work, meetings, and helping the children at the facility. But every now and then, her thoughts would drift back to Kaminari—the way he had looked at her with such sincerity, the playful banter they shared, and the warmth of his kiss.

Despite not being certain about what was next, Aiko felt content. She and Kaminari were on the same page, and that was enough for now. If he asked her out soon, she knew she'd be ready to say yes.

As the afternoon came to a close, Aiko was finishing up some paperwork when her phone buzzed on the desk. She glanced at the screen and saw a message from Kaminari.

"Hey, Aiko! Hope your day's going well. I was wondering when your next free day is? :) "

Aiko smiled at the message, her heart warming at the thought of him reaching out. Little did she know, Kaminari was already making plans in his head for their next hangout—a special day where he could finally ask her out officially.

She quickly typed back a reply:

"Hey Kaminari! My day's going great, thanks. I'm free this Saturday. What about you?"

As she hit send, she couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation building. Maybe Mayumi had been right—maybe something more was coming soon.
