Mpumi burst into our room, singing loudly:

"Rise and shine, sleepyheads!"

Smelo stretched, yawning:

"Morning"

I groggily opened one eye, then shut it tight.

"Five more minutes," I mumbled.

Mpumi jumped onto the bed, bouncing up and down:

"No way, Melo! We have chores to do!"

Smelo joined in, tickling my feet:

"Come on, twinny! Wake up!"

I swatted at them, laughing:

"Stop! Leave me alone!"

They persisted, teasing and tickling me until I finally sat up, rubbing my sleepy eyes.

"Okay, okay! I'm up!"

Mpumi grinned:

"Finally! Now, let's get moving!"

Smelo tossed me my clothes:

"Put these on. We need to get started."

I yawned, stumbling out of bed:

"Let's take a bath first ."

Mpumi chuckled:

"I've got that ready. But first, we clean!"

The three of us quickly cleaned the room and headed to the living room.

We began our morning chores, starting with our room. We made the bed, dusted, and vacuumed. Smelo hummed along to an invisible tune while Mpumi chattered about her favorite TV show.

As we cleaned the living room, Aunt Maria appeared, sipping tea.

"Girls, finish the living room, then move on to the kitchen and dining area. Don't forget the floors."

We nodded, knowing the drill.

As we cleaned, our gossip turned to Olivia:

"Olivia thinks she's queen bee," Smelo said.

Mpumi snorted:

"And there's no bossing around this time shrm."

I chimed in:

"Remember last year? She tried to control everything!"

Smelo whispered:

"Akerr it's because her American dad spoils her rotten."

Mpumi huffed:

"And this is not America nxx."

Our conversation flowed easily as we swept, dusted, and mopped.

Aunt Maria reappeared, her expression stern.

"Girls, finish up. Olivia and the kids will arrive soon. I need you to fetch them from the garage down the road. The Uber dropped them off after picking them up from the airport."

"Yebo, Aunt Maria," we replied.

Smelo whispered:

"Showtime."

Mpumi smirked:

"Time to show her who's boss."

I grinned:

"Let's go take a bath first."

We headed out to the bathroom. I took a shower in the main bathroom while Smelo took a bath in the same bathroom and Mpumi went to take a bath in the other bathroom just outside the main house. There are 3 or 4 bathrooms in this house.
