Chapter 42: Birthday fun, But cheating?

It's been 3 days since I'm back from Umlazi and the waterfall, and yoh, the story of how I got back is crazy! Apparently, some passerby found me floating above the waterfall in the forest, and I'm like, what?! Long story short, my parents were relieved to find me, and we did some rituals before coming back home.

I'm still feeling tired, but schools are opening in 2 days, and honestly speaking, mentally I ain't ready. But who cares, I miss amadombolo wami!

Today is the Anda-twins' 11th birthday and I'm taking them to the carnival as a birthday gift cause I actually forgot to buy them gifts because of all that's been happening in my life so I decided why not the carnival and luckily for them it was supposed to leave today but it's leaving tomorrow so like you gerrrr!

I stepped out of the shower, feeling the warm water drip down my skin. I wrapped myself in a fluffy towel, lotioned and got dressed.

Next, I checked my braids, which I had done while visiting Cape Town, they're still looking good and would probably last me a month or two.

I glanced at my phone, which was lying on my bedside table. The screen read 11:08. "Perfect," I thought and grabbed everything I needed for the day.

As I headed downstairs, the delicious smell of burgers wafted up to me. My stomach growled in anticipation.

"Wow, Nana, you look pretty today!" my mom exclaimed, as I walked into the kitchen.

"Thank you!," I replied, dropping my backpack on the floor.

"I tried out a new recipe for burgers. Hope you like it!" Mom said, gesturing to the table.

I took a bite, and the flavors exploded in my mouth. "Mom, this is the best burger you've ever made!" I exclaimed.

"You think so?" Mom asked, smiling proudly.

"Yes! You should stop teaching and open a restaurant already!" I said, laughing.

Mom chuckled. "Y'all are getting late, let's go!"

I quickly rinsed my plate and followed Mom out the door. We walked to her Audi A7, and I hopped into the passenger seat, while the Anda-twins climbed into the back.

As soon as Mom dropped us off, Asa, Aya, and I rushed to the ticket booth. We bought our tickets and walked through the entrance, our eyes widening at the colorful sights and sounds of the carnival.

"Okay, guys, what do you want to do first?"

"I want to go on the Ferris wheel!" Asa exclaimed.

"Yeah, and then we can play some games!" Aya added.

Honestly speaking Aya is always excited to play games cause she knows she's gonna win at the end of the day and no cap she always does.

I nodded,"Alright, let's do it!"

We made our way to the Ferris wheel, laughing and joking as we waited in line. When it was finally our turn, we climbed into our carriage and screamed with delight as we soared above the carnival grounds.

Next, we headed to the game stalls, where Asa and Aya competed against each other to win stuffed animals. I cheered them on, capturing their competitive spirits on camera, and as y'all guessed Aya won all of them except for the ring darts which Asa won .

After the games, we visited the funhouse, where we navigated through a maze of mirrors and wobbly floors. We stumbled out, giggling and disoriented.

Throughout the day, I made sure to take videos of every moment, determined to create an epic vlog cause I'm in my content creator era, I'm joking guys with only 10K followers yohh.
