Ntsika's Pov:

I don’t know how long we’d been in my and Sipho’s room, but it felt like forever. The squad was cracking jokes, telling wild stories, and roasting each other . The energy was loud, chaotic—the usual. But my mind wasn’t fully there.

Melo wasn’t here.

She’d gone to her room earlier, saying she was tired, and hadn’t come back. Everyone else was laughing like nothing was missing, but I felt it.

I pushed myself off the bed. “I’m coming back.”

No one even asked where I was going. Sipho just smirked, and Kagiso chuckled like they already knew. Mxm! I just left, making my way down the hall to Melo’s room.

The door was unlocked. Typical.

I pushed it open quietly and stepped inside. The room was dim, but I could see her perfectly—curled up under the blankets, breathing evenly, her braids spilling over the pillow.

A small smile tugged at my lips. She looked so peaceful. Too peaceful.

I walked up to the bed, leaning down and pressing a soft kiss to her cheek. Then another on her jaw. Then one at the corner of her mouth. Nothing. She didn’t even stir.

I huffed out a quiet laugh, reaching for one of her braids and lightly brushing it against her ear. When that didn’t work, I leaned down and blew a soft breath against her face.

That got a reaction.

She groaned, scrunching her nose and shifting slightly. “Mmm…”

I chuckled, lowering my lips to her ear. “Wake up,” I whispered.

Melo turned away again, mumbling something I couldn’t make out. I shook my head. Yoh, this girl could sleep.

Alright then.

Grinning, I climbed on top of her, careful with my weight, and kissed her again—this time pressing my lips against hers. That did the trick. Her eyes fluttered open, blinking up at me in that sleepy, confused way.

“No mahn, Ntando,” she mumbled, voice thick with sleep. “You’re too heavy.”

I laughed. “You weren’t waking up.”

She groaned, trying to push me off, but I was faster. In one quick movement, I flipped us over so she was on top instead.

“I missed you,” I said, smirking up at her.

She sighed, still looking tired, but she leaned down and kissed my cheek anyway. I grinned, expecting her to settle against me, but she tried to move. I held her in place.

“Come on, Ntando,” she whined. “I’m hungry.”

“Give me a kiss first.”

She raised an eyebrow. “Bro, what was the one on the cheek for?”

“That was a peck.”

Grumpy much, she rolled her eyes but leaned in anyway, pressing her lips against mine. The kiss was slow, warm, and exactly what I needed. My hand found the back of her neck, pulling her in deeper, and just as I was about to really enjoy it—

The door swung open.

“You’re too young to be making babies,” Sipho’s voice rang out.

Melo practically jumped off me. Sipho just laughed and shut the door like he hadn’t just interrupted something.

Melo groaned, rubbing her face. “Lemme wash my face, I’m coming.”

I sat up, smirking. “Let’s go wash your face.”
