3RD POV
Astonishment. That's the only thing Nicholas felt at that very moment. Pure, utter astonishment. The sun had long since emerged from behind the distant mountains, sharing freely its light and warmth with the rest of the world. The boy couldn't help but let the golden rays caress his body, getting rid of the stinging cold, caused by the high altitude.
Looking down, next to the sea and between two massive mountains, there was, in all its glory, the Kingdom of Tellus. Slowly, Zana begun lowering the flying carriage, making it drop closer to the ground. By doing so, the scenery before them became much clearer. Soaring above the houses, Nicholas was now able to see the people as well.
Had he been none the wiser, he would have thought them to be ordinary human beings, due to them bearing great resemblance to his own kind. But of course, the young boy knew better. There were all kinds of different people, some on their own, others with their partners, friends, family or children, each of whom had different characteristics. There was a great variety of hair and eye colours. Heck, there were even a few people with animal features.
And let's not forget the use of magic. There were individuals that created fire from their hands. Others that controlled water and were putting up a show to the crowd, while some produced crystals, carving them into beautiful works of art. It truly was a breathtaking spectacle, one that both humans would not forget.
The more they approached the castle, the more elegant the buildings were. Probably due to housing noble or very rich families, something that often happened in the human realm when kingdoms still existed. The walls were painted in a pure white colouration, the windows held beautiful designs. Statues and fountains in the courtyards, gardens filled with multiple different plants and flowers.
Finally, after flying for a little while longer, Selin, who was in front of the crystal carriage, begun descending even more, and landing inside a quite large courtyard, which was located just outside the massive castle. Zana immediately followed, landing the floating vehicle with ease. Kenju released his hold over Nicholas's body and exited the carriage.
Hunter and Nicholas then got out, their feet a little shaky from the whole ordeal, but still, the immense excitement they were feeling at the moment was enough to chase any bad thoughts away. The shortest of the two was constantly replaying all the beautiful images his eyes took in, while in the air. Hunter on the other hand was murmuring something about anime again.
With a bright flash of pink light, the crystal carriage dissolved into tiny, shiny particles like glitter, before disappearing completely, leaving Zana in the middle. Exhaling softly, said girl made her way towards her captain. Looking at the humans, she was more than pleased to see their awestruck expressions, which filled her with amusement and pride. Hunter caught sight of that, and scowled deeply.
Selin: - Alright, listen up. Kenju, you and Severed are to wait for us to return here. And please try to stay out of trouble.
She shot Severed a look, that told him to make sure Kenju didn't to anything..... crazy.
Selin: - Nicholas, Hunter, take these and put them on.
She said handing them two pendants with a grey stone on each one. Nicholas obeyed without questioning why, but Hunter did not give in, eyeing the sorceress with suspicion.
Hunter: - Huh?! And why should we?
Selin: - Because those are magical items that create illusions. By putting them on, you will be able to hide the red colour of your blood, replacing it with blue. Meaning if you are to ever get hurt in the presence of others, the fact that you are humans will remain hidden, unless of course they are taken off or destroyed.
