3RD POV
The cool morning breeze still lingered in the atmosphere, trying to envelope everything in its cold embrace, but ultimately falling short to the bright, golden rays of the sun. The warmth they carried was just what Chrissy needed, helping her ease her nerves. Being a young seventeen-year-old girl, now a fully-fledged magic warrior, accepted into the best squad in the kingdom, was indeed an incredible feat for her.
Aurelius Brightburn, THE captain of the Shiny beacons himself, recognized her skills and powerful light magic, offering her a spot on his team. The girl had received such a high honor, making her family proud. But despite her remarkable accomplishments, Chrissy still remained incredibly anxious.
Now here she was, waiting patiently in the castle's yard, for the blacksmith assigned to forge her a weapon. Her long, dark blonde hair was waving in the wind, her greenish blue eyes staring at the brick road that led to the palace, awaiting his arrival. She would be strong. No, she needed to be more than that.
To ensure the kingdom's safety and to not let those that put their faith on her and helped her on this journey down. For the sake of the people. Of her parents. Of the king. Of her squad mates. Of her captain. She WOULD prevail. However, being so caught up in her thoughts, she failed to notice a figure that was approaching her.
(Meanwhile inside the palace)
Aurelius: - PLEASE MARRY ME!!!!
.....what the F?
That's the only thought going through pretty much everyone's mind. Especially in the minds of Nicholas, Zana and Hunter. The moment the saw the white-haired male making his way inside the meeting room, they expected aggression, hostility and probably a fight. But no. Here he is, kneeling on one knee, and freaking PROPOSING to Selin. The situation was getting more and more bizarre by the minute.
Selin: - No.
Aurelius abruptly stood up, his screaming voice unrecognizably high pitched.
Aurelius: - WHAT?! YOU'RE STILL TURNING ME DOWN?! ME?! AURELIUS BRIGHTBURN?!
He comically froze up and shattered into tiny little pieces, before mending himself back together.
Aurelius: - Well then, I guess I have no other choice.
He placed a hand on the wall behind Selin, leaning closer to her face, wearing the most flirtatious expression he could muster. Then with his other hand, he slightly pushed his pearly white armor down, exposing his flawless neck and a little bit of his well-built chest. He then spoke again; his voice having dropped a few octaves.
Aurelius: - Come on. I know you want it. So be a good girl and I promise I'll give you a reward.
Selin: - Pass.
The poor guy froze again. Breaking into imaginary pieces and then reforming on the spot once more. Coming back to his senses, he remained in a sitting position on the floor, pointing an accusing finger on the black-haired female he so desperately tried winning over.
Aurelius: - HOW CAN YOU STILL BE SO CRUEL TO ME, MY LITTLE MOON?! WHY WON'T YOU EVER MARRY ME?!
He shouted with literal tears streaming down his eyes, and acting like a little kid throwing a tantrum after being told no. It was both amusing, and incredibly bizarre to witness.
Selin: - Because you're an immature,....
An imaginary arrow pierced Aurelius's chest.Selin: -..... childish.....
Another stab.
Selin: - .... annoying little playboy....
And another.Selin: - .....that apparently lacks the necessary intellect to understand that I'm not interested.
