Time skip.
Akira wondered how long it had been since he last went down the wall to get something, he usually kept to himself up the mountain, however, they were running out of food and the only way to get more was to get down the mountain.

He looked at Krista, the girl looked quite proud upon having finished making her own jacket....sure it took her a couple of tries but she got it.

She felt very proud of herself.

"Akira-kun look"
She showed him what she had made looking quite proud, over the course of the 2 or so months she had been living with him, he had taken up some kind of big brother role.

"It looks nice," He said calmly, he patted her head.
Her cheeks turned a faint shade of red as she felt him pat her head, oh she was embarrassed, how cute.

"We running out of flour, let go get some"

She nodded her head, before going out to the house and coming a few minutes later carrying something tightly wrapped in a piece of paper.

The scent coming from it was quite good.

It seemed like she remembered to give him the thing he was going to trade for some flour and salt.

He gave her a happy smile which seem to make her proud, he hoped she wouldn't get too attached to him.

Pov change.

In the middle of a random narrow alleyway, three kids could be seen.

One of them was a slender teenage boy. He had short, black hair, pale green eyes, thin eyebrows, and an elongated face.

The other one was a short blond-haired, gold-eyed boy, the boy had a defined facial structure. His large height, broad shoulders, and serious expression gave him an intimidating presence.

And lastly, there was a girl, she was a young girl of considerably short height with a small, yet very muscular build and physique.

She had moderately short hair that was often tied at the back with her right fringe mainly draping over the right side of her face. She had an oval-shaped face, blonde hair, blue eyes, and a pale complexion.

The three kids or young teenagers could be seen sharing a single piece of bread as this was all they could get for now.

"We've got to find a way to get back to Marley," Annie grumbled, her voice barely audible, even if she knew that the truth was, that they could not go to Marley empty-handed, especially since they had lost the jaw titan and the founding titan was nowhere in sight.

"We'll figure something out," Reiner assured her, his gaze scanning the crowd. "As long as we have the Founding Titan, we can still succeed."

"And why don't we find a Hyuga while we're at it?" Annie retorted sarcastically.

She truly understood how fuck their situation truly was, she knew that they were all barely holding on due to the simple fact that they were holding on to the pipe dream of being able to recover from this.

They knew if they returned now, they would be devoured no question asked, if they couldn't come back to Marley with the founding titan then they would need something of equal value.....A hyuga fitted that description quite well.

While they lacked the power titan shifters possess, their eyes alongside their ability to paralyze opponents, Titan shifted included was nothing to really scoff at.

The only way they could get out of this without getting devoured was to either get the founding titan or a Hyuga.

"Calm down guys, I am sure this will turn out fine" Berthold added trying to lower the tension in the room.

His eyes went toward a black hair boy walking around a blond girl.

The two seemed to be quite lively which was odd, considering that the common expression on everyone's face on the wall was usually despair and some insanity.

However, those two kids looked fine.....

"Yeah, Krista," The boy said following after the girl.

He wondered why the boy wore a blindfold and the girl seemed to guide him around, he felt guilty, had this boy been blinded due to him kicking down the wall?

He couldn't just say sorry, he knew he caused a lot of damage, however, he couldn't help but ponder that the boy seemed different like he could see under all that mask.

He did not know what to think.

Though he did wonder why he had this weird feeling.

"What are you staring at?" Annie suddenly asked.

"Oh nothing, just those two over there"

Annie looked at them and quickly lost interest, they just looked like two children and nothing more.

Nothing to pay too much attention to.

However, her attention was picked when she heard the girl mention something about it.

"Can't you see through the blindfold"

All the boy said in response was just a slight shush....this situation looked quite fishy from where she was looking at it.
