All of the cadets could be seen standing in rows, about 10 or so rows, which each row containing about 10 or so cadets.
Out of the 218 or so of them who will graduate from this batch, only about 10 of them will be named the top 10.
The commander started stating the names.
Each time he said someone's name, they would move to the front, so that everyone could see their peer who were above every else.
Not that it mattered, most of them were just cannon fodder.
The list went something like this.

9th place. Marco Bott.
8th place. Jean Kirstein
7th place. Eren Yeager.
6th place. Krista Lenz
5th place. Annie Leonhart
4th place. Bertholdt Hoover
3rd Place. Reiner Braun
2nd place. Mikasa Ackerman
1rst place. Akira Hyuga
Every single cadet had 2 choices, the top 10 had 3 options, they could either join the Garrison whose job was to reinforce the wall, Akira rejected that option in his mind, he didnt train that hard to just sit there and do nothing.
The scout regiment whose sole job is to reclaim the land the Titans took from the humans, oh yeah that option was nice, he finally gets to try his move against the Titans.
The third option, which was the option that only the top 10 had access to was the Mp division which he immediately refuse, that division was the closest with the kind and noble and frankly, he was in no mood to get close to those assholes.
After the whole stuff, the cadet partied like no other, he however was not drinking, he wanted to remain sober to some level.
"Seriously, you joining the scouts" A random guy would say, Akira drinking his water would say.
"I don't see why not, "
"You are the best cadet this year, why throw away your life in such a worthless position"
"The scouts are not worthless," He said calmly.
"How so?"
"Do you honestly want to spend your life caged to this wall, I want to see what's outside the wall, And personally, I don't think we are the last human alive on this planet, call it a hunch, but I want to see it with my own two eyes before I believe it?" He said calmly.
"Now if you excuse me, I have shit to do" Upon saying that, he patted the guy on the back before walking toward his destination.

However before he got there, Eren and Jean got into another fight....for real.

"So what, you want us to just stay down and take while lying down," Eren said angrily.

"And what, just wait until the titan destroys all of our walls and pray for our life," Eren said annoyed.
"The Titans are stronger than us, they are practically unkillable, for us to even stand a chance at the Titans, we would have to be superhuman."
As those words left the guy's mouth, Akira found it as if a lot more eyes were on him now.
Akira just shrugged and walked off, his long black hair hanging over his shoulder, he didnt care much.

He made his way to his cabin and just lay on the bed, he was preparing himself to sleep, after all, he had a long day ahead of him. However, he couldn't really sleep.
They were partying way too loud, and he was just a second away from taking a needle and destroying their alcohol supply, however, he held back, he was decently far away from them and if he used such a move, he would practically be begging for them to notice how much more special he was compared to them.
As he closed his eyes, trying to go to sleep, he was awakened from his slumber by the sound of someone entering his room.
Managing to force his eyes to get up, he saw Krista......if this was going when he thought it was going, he would like to thank whatever being who allowed this to happen.......
Nah, maybe, she was fine, maybe she just wanted to talk....alone, in a cabin that was a decent walk away from the other cabin, a cabin that was pretty good at absorbing sound.
And she came to that Cabin....with a rose in her hand and a blush on her cheek.
