Akira woke up from his dream, sweating bullets. He didnt know why but for some unknown reason he was shaking...like a lot.
He did not know why, but something in his dream shook him to his core.
All he remembered were the faces of this body's parents telling him to grow up big and strong.
As he tries to get up.
He saw a small little blond girl sleeping there on his lap.
Wasn't that just sweet, he decided to pat her head as she dozed off.
As his hand made contact with her hair, the girl's eyes blinked open pretty slowly.
She made sure to wait for her eyes to adapt to the light before she stared at him.
"You awake!" She said sounding excited, she jumped on him and hugged him tightly, not giving him any time to react whatsoever. ....
"I wasn't out for that long now was I" He said as he felt a bit overwhelmed, he did not expect her to be active
"You stayed asleep for 3 days, I thought I would lose you," She said with tears falling down her eyes.
"3 days...." Akira looked stunned, he did not expect to be out for that long.
"I thought you...you..." Tears came streaming down her eyes as she held him like he was her life support which to be fair, he kind of was.
She looked so sad, he felt kind of fuzzy inside knowing she cared so much about him, however he pushed that fuzzy feeling away.
She was 12 and mentally he was 17, that age gap didnt sit well with him, it almost felt like grooming in a sense. Speaking of which.....he had a little hypothesis that eldian developed faster than most people.
Even when she was 11, when he washed her dirty lingerie he would notice blood on them about once a month.
Usually, that stuff happen at 12, and the way she would hide herself away once a month, it was almost like she knew it was coming and she had experience with it.
Although he kind of had enough of washing that stuff.....the next thing he would do,
He was brought back from musing as he could see the tears coming out of her eyes as she held him close. "Don't scare me like that again" She said with tears flowing down her cheek.
He calmed himself down a bit, he wiped the tear away from her face before giving her a bright smile saying. "I won't do it again"
Her cheek seemed to turn several shades of red as she saw his smile, however, she was able to contain herself a bit longer. She smiled at him and he was happy.
At this rate, she was going to melt his heart...
She hugged him for a bit longer before falling asleep in his arms, muttering something about not dying on her.
And something else about.....
He couldn't hear her perfectly but she seemed quite hard-headed about it.
He gave a light kiss on the cheek before going back to bed, making sure to cover the both of them under the cover as Winter was starting and it was starting to get a bit breezy.
She snuggled herself close to him as if she was trying to get even closer to him than she already was.
He just chucked it up to her being very comfortable with him and nothing more, there was no other reason she seemed to cling to him so much.
Time skip.
The first thing he did as soon as he was up the next day was look for material, he had used his Byakugan and could tell that Krista's time of the month was coming. He made sure to find some stuff to make what he had in mind.
He picked the cotton, which would serve as the top layer and also the layer that would have contact with the skin. For the backing he would need PUL, if he remember correctly it was a waterproof fabric that was used in diapers.
However that stuff was man-made and thus he needed to find something else, he settled on some waterproof plants, they would do the job just as well and they would smell better...he did make sure they were not itchy, he spent like 15 minutes gazing at them with his Byakugan for extra safety.
They were safe, and he tested them for like 3 hours......
He could never be too safe with Krista.
After choosing a good backing, he also needed some thread and snaps for closure, and just for some extra layer of absorbency, he added more cotton.
With his Byakugan activated, he began by carefully cutting the cotton fabric into his desired shape....using Krista's panty as a benchmark...... He felt so dirty doing this.
He then cut the waterproof plant he used into the same dimensions. Next, he placed the cotton layer on top of the plant layer and pinned them together. Who could have thought his grandma's teaching would have come in clutch like this?
Due to his bad luck back on earth, his grandma had made it her personal mission that he knew as much as possible about the wild and how to make the basic stuff like food, clothes, and so on.
He didnt know how to make a nuke...but he could make a pad because his grandma in her old age refused to buy them and taught him how to make them....she said she liked them natural.
He then added the extra cotton layer, making sure to cut them slightly smaller than the outer layers.
He placed them inside the opening and using his byakugan, he made sure to precisely stitch them close with as much precision as he humanly could muster.
For the next closure, Akira used the snaps, he marked the position for the snaps on the outer layer of the pad and attached them using a special tool.....his chakra-infused fingers.
Once the snaps were in place, he was almost done.
To finish it off, Akira made sure all the edges were trimmed and made sure to inspect the pad about 30 different times to judge for any imperfections.
Upon noticing none and seeing how much material he had left, he decided to well hum...make some more.
A/N...He was 15 when he died give or take, he reincarnated in the body of a 10-year-old, however, the wish to bring him here to erase some of his memory and his child body is affecting him, however, something that did not change is the fact that he doesn't see Krista that way, she is 12 and even if he is also 12, mentally he is about 17, though that will change with time as the more time go on, the more he will forget about his past life and the closer his mental age and body age will get.
