Glad to be a Muslim

You see, I've always been told that I'm a great person with some flaws. And I'm like I take that for granted, I really do....well the first part of it anyways, because I'm unsure of whether that should be a compliment or an insult.

Anyways, so this really mean person decides to tell me what my flaws are. They start speaking and I'm like just nodding my head, until they say that one of my other flaws is being a Muslim. And I just went blank-like you could just see a dead stare.

Now, I'm more than happy to be patient about any flaws you've got to tell me about myself unless the topic becomes too personal. And what's too personal besides religion is family. These two topics are topics that I just can't deal with.

So I go over to do my work in the other room and the person follows me, they are now telling me of how "You're ugly", and how "nobody wants you".

As I get up to slap the person, I realize that I'm hallucinating and that the words coming out of the other's persons mouth is actually coming from my head. I live with the negative comments daily, but what helped me fight back with positive feedback. What helped me fight back, is the fact that I'm glad that I am a Muslim.

You should be proud too, of whatever religion you practice; whether it be catholic, christian, Judaism, Buddhism, or Atheist. I will like you of whatever race, culture, or heritage you come from no matter what happens. You're awesome, and you know it.
