Will jitters down the palace halls, mumbling to himself.

Will: How do I get myself into these situations? I should be writing symphonies - not tagging along after some headstrong teenager. (He sees Kurt and Pavarotti sneaking off and follows.) Hmm? What is that boy up to?

Will follows them, panting and flapping his claws. He stops to rest. Ahead of him, Kurt rolls back a large rock, revealing an opening to a cave. He looks around to make sure no one is around and swims inside with Pavarotti. As Will tries to slip in behind them, the rock rolls shut on his legs. He pulls himself free and bounces into the cave, bumping into an hourglass. He looks around, aghast, at the walls of the grotto, seeing a vast collection of human objects. Kurt lays on a rock with a fork and Pavarotti looks on with a worried expression.

Pavarotti: Kurt, are you okay?

Kurt: If only I could make him understand. (Will covers his mouth in disbelief.) I just don't see things the way he does. I just don't see how a world that makes such wonderful things - could be bad. (Kurt swims around referencing various items in her collection. Will frowns and stays out of sight. Kurt dances with Pavarotti and sings about his dream of being part of the human world. As Kurt floats around, he gazes up at a hole at the top of his grotto) (singing) Look at this stuff
Isn't it neat?
Wouldn't you thank my collection's complete?
Wouldn't you think I'm the boy
The boy who has everything?
Look at this trove
Treasures untold
How many wonders can one cavern hold?
Lookin' around here you'd think
Sure, he's got everythang
I got gadgets and gizmos aplenty
I got whozits and whatzits galore
You want thingamabobs?
I got 20
But who cares?
No big deal
I want more
I wanna be where the people are
I wanna see
Wanna see 'em dancin'
Walkin' around on those
What do ya call 'em?
Oh - feet
Flippin' your fins you don't get too far
Legs are required for jumpin', dancin'
Strollin' along down a
What's that word again?
Street
Up where they walk
Up where they run
Up where they stay all day in the sun
Wanderin' free
Wish I could be
Part of that world
What would I give
If I could live
Out of these waters?
What would I pay
To spend a day
Warm on the sand?
Betcha on land
They understand
Bet they don't reprimand their wards
Bright young men
Sick of swimmin'
Ready to stand
And ready to know what the people know
Ask 'em my questions
And get some answers
What's a fire
and why does it
What's the word?
Burn?
When's it my turn?
Wouldn't I love
Love to explore that shore up above?
Out of the sea
Wish I could be
Part of that world

Will comes tumbling out of a beer stein falling on top of a jack-in-the-box. As he grabs a tablecloth, various things come crashing down on top of him. Pavarotti hides inside a helmet, startled by the commotion.

Kurt: Mr Schue!?

Will: Kurt - what, are you mad? How could you - what is all this?

Kurt: It, err, it's just my - collection...

Will l: (holding up a fishhook and speaking sarcastically) Oh. I see. Your collection, hmm. (screaming) If your father knew about this place, he'd-

Pavarotti: You're not gonna tell him, are you?

Kurt: Oh, please, Mr Schue, he would never understand.

Will: Kurt. You're under a lot of pressure down here. (taking Kurt's hand in his claw and leading his away) Come with me, I'll take you home and get you something warm to drink.

The shadow of a ship passes by overhead.

Kurt: What do you suppose?...

Will: Kurt? Kurt!
