Ash was having a pokemon trainer battle against Leon at the world stage: the Masters Class Finals. For most of the audience, it was a surprise to see the Undefeated Champion Leon chase from behind. The rising challenger, Alola Champion Ash Ketchum, had a 3-to-1 lead against Leon in the 6v6 battle.

Using Sceptile, Charizard, and Gengar, Ash managed to knock out Leon's Dragapult, Aegislash, and Mr. Rime. Ash only lost Sceptile in the process. Charizard and Gengar were a bit hurt from the previous battles, yet they were still in good shape for the next round.

Ash seldom had a good run-up first. He was more experienced in turning the tables from behind. He was genuinely surprised that he was having a huge lead at probably the most important match in his life so far.

After recalling the unconscious Mr. Rime, Leon's Urshifu popped out of its Pokeball on its own and roared at Leon right at his head. If people didn't know, they would have thought Urshifu wanted to eat Leon alive.

But they couldn't blame the legendary Wushu Pokémon. Any fans who watched competitive pokemon battling would know that Leon was not in his best condition. It was good that someone in Leon's team was snapping him out of his unoptimized condition.

Leon took a deep breath and faced the bear, "Sorry, Urshifu. I had too much fear. I messed up."

Urshifu roared again and pointed at Gengar with fierce eyesight.

Leon nodded, "I will let you take full control. Turn the tables for us! We believe in you!"

Urshifu closed its eyes and took a deep breath before turning to face Gengar. It bowed at Gengar with a gesture, and got itself ready for the battle with a powerful horse stance.

The boos became louder for Leon. The audience couldn't believe Leon would send a disadvantaged fighting type to battle against a ghost type. They just thought Leon was out of his mind and completely not ready for the finals, and many were requesting refunds for the match.

Cilan shrugged, "It's pretty weird to see Leon sending out a fighting-type pokemon against ghost-type Gengar. Maybe he has no more good choices?"

Kiawe nodded, "Most likely. Pretty sure he wants to save his Charizard at the second last and defeat the rest of Ash's pokemon, so that he wouldn't need to reveal Eternatus. So if we count them out of the equation, Urshifu was the only pokemon left in Leon's arsenal."

Gary nodded, "At this point, I believe you guys can already prepare for the worst."

Chloe chuckled, "What can we do? If Eternatus really appeared and used a move, we would be dead right away."

Eevee turned its body around, "Eevee?"

Chloe smiled and patted her pokemon, "Do you think Eternatus will appear, Eevee?"

Eevee cheered and chanted, "Eevee!"

Serena sighed, "Guess Eevee wants to see the big guy as well. Does it know Eternatus will destroy the city?"

"Don't mind Eevee. I don't think pokemon knows too much about human language. She probably thinks we are asking her if she likes this battle," Chloe joked.

Eevee raised an eyebrow and smirked, but this emotion was left unnoticed by the gang.

Urshifu was so ready to fight Gengar. It was doing the legendary horse stance, with eyes so focused on the ghost-type. It could not bear to see Leon still trying to regain the battling mentality. The human was clenching his fists and gritting his teeth, struggling to be back in his normal Champion vibes. But one good thing he had done: he allowed Urshifu to take control of the battle.
