Chapter 43 - Ash vs Leon Part 6: Pokémon Master

At long last, Pikachu could finally get out of his Pokeball and stretch his short arms and legs. The stupid rule to keep all pokemon in their Pokeballs should really be removed from existence, but here we are.

Both Ash and Leon managed to knock out 4 pokemon from each other's team. For both of them, they wanted to make sure that the opposite pokemon would fall first, so that the opponent would be forced to reveal his final pokemon. For Leon, he would really want to know what was behind Ash's Pikachu, because most likely that pokemon wouldn't be anything too incredibly strong, and he could finish it with his Charizard, but this had to be done without revealing Eternatus.

Ash also couldn't lose out against Leon's Charizard. If Pikachu got knocked out first, he would have to summon his Greninja instead of Nebby because Eternatus had not been revealed yet. It's unlikely that Greninja would be able to defend against Eternatus.

Winning is the only option.

In the VIP room, Burnet held Lei in her arms, "Both Leon and Ash had their ace pokemon out, which can only mean one thing."

Kukui nodded, "Leon has Eternatus, and Ash has Nebby."

Sonia asked, "What's a Nebby?"

Burnet explained, "It's the nickname of Solgaleo, the legendary pokemon which protects our Alola region. Ash caught it not long ago, and I have a strong feeling that he would use it against Leon if he sends out Eternatus."

Sonia walked closer to them, "You mean Ash has a counter against Eternatus?"

Kukui took a deep breath, "Let's just hope that the counter is good enough."

"Leon's Charizard versus Ash Ketchum's Pikachu! Let the battle begin!" the judge waved his flag.
