Christopher's POV Right now, I’m racing to the police department to pick up my son. My ex made the shocking decision that she no longer wanted him, despite my constant pleas for full custody. It’s infuriating—she wants to get rid of him but still collect the child support I send every month. The only reason I found out where he was is that my girlfriend's brother works at the police department and recognized my son. Thankfully, he called me.
When I arrive, I see Yn already there, cradling my son in her lap while he sips on some juice. My heart swells as I walk over and kiss both of his foreheads gently.
“Yn, thank you for being here,” I say, my voice thick with gratitude.
“I brought Phillip lunch,” she replies, glancing down at my son, who looks up at her with wide eyes. “Little Felix was already here, and the moment I arrived, he came running to me wanting to be held, as usual.”
I can’t help but smile. I scoop Felix up into my arms, holding him tightly against my chest. He giggles, and my heart aches with love for him.
“Thank you so much,” I tell Phillip, who stands nearby watching us with a supportive smile.
“Don’t mention it,” he replies with a nod. “I think he’s better off with you and my little sister.”
I nod in agreement, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. With Felix safe in my arms, I know we’re heading home together, where he belongs—with Yn and me...
