She was almost hers,
their love almost shown.
They almost spoke,
but stayed unknown.
One almost stayed,
the other fell.
They almost fought
the darkened spell.
She almost lived,
but chose the night.
She almost saved her,
lost the fight.
They almost touched,
but missed the spark—
Two hearts that broke,
lost in the dark.
