Kara, in her Superhero attire, stood outside looking at the surrounding area at the porch of Y/N's household, watching the many chickens walking around the place while a few ran around the entire farm as if they were spooked by something.

The girl would find herself smiling when one specific chicken would come up to the porch most of the time. The chicken was named Colonel.

She found it weird at first, knowing that was a military rank name but... She soon understood when first meeting Colonel through Y/N himself.

"Y/N's almost ready" Kara turned around to the voice behind her, coming from Y/N's dad.

"Good" she smiled. Turning her head back round to look at the farm before her, wishing she'd have a farm like this one day.

"Are you sure that bringing my son to the Fortress is a good idea? He does get nervous when away from home for a brief while" Orion asked his son's best friend.

Kara turned round and put on a brief smile, she already knew Y/N would get nervous or homesick when away from home for a while, though as of late, he's been around Kara at her place with her adoptive mother for pretty much the entire weekend.

"Don't worry, he'll be fine. He's safe with me" she reassured him, though rolling her eyes at the same question he asked earlier, upon facing away

"Just double checking, that's all" he responded before the door again opened, Y/N came out with a winter jacket and jeans that could keep him warm for winter events.

Kara turned round at the sound of his heartbeat, smiling brightly as she laid eyes upon him. "You ready?" she asked with a tilted head.

"Yeah... Just uh... A little nervous, that's all" he shrugged, the nervous feeling in his stomach rising up, as the Girl of Steel approached him with a comforting look.

"You'll be fine! Nothing to be nervous about!" she cheered him up, soon the butterflies in his stomach would fade away with time as he began smiling.

"Have fun son" Orion told his son before heading back inside, leaving the two goofballs alone with each other.

Kara broke out a cheesy smile before picking up him bridal style, which took him by surprise. "Wanted to try something new when carrying you" the girl slightly blushed but a smile was plastered on her face still, showing confidence in trying something new. "Kal suggested this when he visited me during patrol the other day. thought I'd give this carrying style a try" she remarked.

"Uh... Y-Yeah, I just... Didn't think..." he tried to think of words as Kara levitated herself off the porch before moving forward midair. "I uh... Didn't think I'd be carried like this" he chuckled awkwardly.

"If it's making you awkward, I can carry you the other way like I've always done" she frowned.

"No no, it's fine!" he immediately responded. "We can try this".

"Oh goodie!" she smiled afterwards, levitating upwards. "Up, Up, and Away!".

The cold air hit Kara's face as she flew at high speeds with a big smile on her face, her cape swishing behind her as she looked at Y/N next who seemed to be enjoying the flight.

"Enjoying yourself?" she asked politely.

The boy turned his head round to face her, grinning softly. "Yeah!" he answered happily. "I mean... Out of everything? I never thought I'd be going to the Arctic to visit my best friend's cousin's secret place of solitude... THE Fortress of Solitude I've heard you talk about so much" he graciously explained, earning a small giggle from Supergirl.
