Its what they want

The day of the tv show came around and they were just being introduced to sing their song.
All of them felt hyped up ready to perform looking sexily elegant in blue,grey and charcoal suits with white shirts.
Jimins eyes caught Jungkooks giving him a beaming smile just before the lights shone on them.
Jungkook smiled back then began the song.
The screams and cheers as it ended told them that their fans were still there and happy to see them.
They went and sat down on the sofas with the interviewer.
"Well gentlemen it's great to see you all again"
"Glad to be here"
"So the new album any hints?"
"It's a collaboration of us all so there certainly will be different vibes through it"
"Let's talk about your military stint do you think it changed any of you in any way?"
"We matured mentally"
"It was a different lifestyle to what we had become used to,"
"It felt odd not having the others around."
"On that note Jimin...Jungkook you enlisted together do you think it helped?"
"Well we had each other to rely on but we had to get used to being in a different group."
"I think as we had been friends for so long it helped ...we could boost each other up if stressed or lacking motivation."
"So anyone what's best about being out?"
"Growing my hair!"
"Wearing fashion"
"Eating what I want..."
The interviewer and audience laughed.
"So...we know you must have plans for the future but we thought we would throw something into the mix ,we contacted your families and asked them what they wanted for you."
"Oh,dear....."
Laughter from the audience then,
"Here are the recordings firstly Namjoon"
"Son we are very proud of you we hope that in the future you take life a little less seriously ...oh and get a girlfriend!!"
RM laughed shaking his head.
"Now Jin,"
"Hi son,try to be more realistic your 30 don't brag about your good looks be humble then you might find a nice girlfriend."
"30 isn't old and I am worldwide handsome!"
"As you say...now Suga"
"Son try and smile more your doing great when will I get a daughter in law?"
Suga shook his head giving a wry smile.
"J Hope ..."
"Son,we wish you would stop rapping and just sing your voice is lovely...girls live to be serenaded you know...maybe you'll catch one....."
"And Jimin"
"Son we love you dearly and are so proud of you,try to relax more you don't need to work hard to prove yourself now."
Jimin smiled bending his head.
"And Taehyung....."
"Hello dear,you looked so smart in uniform,did you meet any girls you could bring home?when are we going to meet a daughter in law?"
Tae chuckled,really?I have plenty of time"
"And finally Jungkook.."
"Ok son,you've proved you can do whatever you try,what about finding the next Mrs Jeon I want to be a grandma get a move on...Jimin your his friend help find him a girl!"
As the audience laughed Jimin swallowed hard,he knew Jungkooks parents well but he'd never thought what they might want for his future,it obviously wasn't a gay boyfriend who couldn't give them grandchildren.
"So Jimin going to help out?"
Jimin plastered a smile on his face turning to the audience.
"Any young ladies out there that can help Jungkook out?"
Shrieks and shouts greeted his comment so Jungkook going along with Jimin's play sighed,
"Ladies there's only one of me...this could take a long time!"
Everyone laughed except Jimin who fidgeted with his fingers looking down.
Tae glancing over frowned,he knew Jimin was probably overthinking something he seemed distracted.
The interviewer was laughing as the females in the audience battled to get Jungkooks attention.
"Well it looks like your mother's problem is sorted Jungkook!Jimin you may have to move over when he gets a girlfriend you can't be a third wheel!"
Jimin nodded trying for a smile.
The interview came to an end and the group were escorted out to the two cars they came in.
The management had surprised them by arranging a restaurant meal and when they got there the family members in the videos were there too.
Everyone greeted each other and sat down at a large table.
Jimin and his parents were next to Jungkook and his parents and inevitably talk got to what was said in the videos.
"You boys are all growing up when are you going to make us parents happy and settle down."
"Dad.....let it be we are enjoying life!" Suga groaned
"You can't enjoy yourself and get married?"
Chuckles came from most around the table.
"I think your parents let you off easily Jimin they were only wishing you well not telling you to bring a girl home." RM's mother said.
The parks looked at each other then Jimin.
"Surely we just want what's best for our sons?" Mr Park said.
"You don't want a daughter in law and grandchild ?"mrs Jeon said.
Jimin swallowed hard before turning to Jungkooks mother,
"My parents know that won't happen and they have always supported me."
"Oh Jimin you don't want a mini version of you?"
"I'm gay..." he said straightforwardly.
Mrs Jeon clapped a hand across her mouth,
"Oh Jimin I'm sorry I didn't mean to embarrass you!"
"I'm not embarrassed ...it's nothing I'm ashamed about unfortunately our culture isn't as forgiving."
The silence around the table was unnerving then Jin's family nodded.
"Your correct the culture should change people are people they love who they love and we shouldn't judge ."
The chatter began again and Mrs Park squeezed her son's hand.
Jungkook on the other side berated his mother.
"Mum why did you push it...?"
"Well I didn't know! All these years have you known and you didn't say?"
"Mum!"
"Oh it doesn't matter...it's his life and we still live him,I know you are close but maybe start hanging around with girls huh?"
Jimin had heard enough his eyes pleading he looked at his parents who nodded understandingly.
"Er folks I hope you don't mind but we promised Jimin's brother we would meet up with him and it's getting late I hope you will excuse us.......?"
The three bowed to the others departing rapidly,Jungkook stood up following,
"Jimin,I'll see you later.....right?"
Jimin looked into his lovers eyes then passed him to his parents.
"Kookie.....I'm sorry.....it's not going to work ,me,you it was a dream,your parents want more for you......I can't ruin that......I'll stay at mine from now on.....let's go back to just being friends,it's what they think......you find yourself the right girl and have a family,it's what they want....."
He turned walking quickly away with his parents leaving Jungkook looking stunned.
His mother called him to come sit down and he went in clenched fists and sat down.
As his family chatted with others he went through various emotions,hurt Jimin had decided for both of them,irritation at the thought he was looked on as a sperm donor and annoyance at himself. All the time his mother had spoken and Jimin had announced he was gay,not once had he spoke out that he and Jimin were an item,Jimin had shouldered all the surprised reaction .enduring it alone.
