Every day at exactly 4:51 pm Mrs. Pepper Potts would knock on the door of Peter's apartment and at 4:55, she'd leave a packed lunch at the door before leaving in tears.
The day was Thursday, and everything started out normal enough Pepper woke up crying dreading what was to come. At 4:51 pm she arrived at her son's door, she was about to knock when the door unlocked, she held her breathe for three seconds then she saw him standing there in his red shirt and faded jeans. Peter looked at Pepper, "Mrs. Potts?"
Pepper offered the packed lunch to him, "Hm, cheese, pickle on French bread with mustard, grilled and pressed flat, I got the recipe from that deli shop owner, Mr. Delmar."
"Uh..." Peter takes the bag, "thanks."
Pepper nodded, "Well," she fixed her purse strap on her right shoulder, "enjoy."
Pepper turns around to leave when Peter grabs her shoulder, "Wait."
Pepper turned back around, "Yes?"
Peter asked, "Would you like to come in?"
Pepper nodded and walked into the small apartment. Peter gestured for her to sit on the couch as he started to pace.
Pepper took a deep breath and said, "Listen, your father and I tried to find you. I never gave up in trying to find you and when we did, you were happy. Happy with May, who were we to take you away from that?"
Peter stopped and glared at Pepper, "You could have told me."
"If I did," Pepper said in a calm tone, "would that made a difference?"
"I guess we would never know." Peter sighs.
Pepper got up, "Please, understand, I was only trying to protect you and your sister."
"Sister?" Peter asks.
"Morgan." Pepper clarifies.
"Does she know?"
"What?"
"Morgan," Peter clarifies, "does she know? Did you tell her?"
"No," Pepper grabs her purse, "this news is too big, and I thought I should ask you first."
