"Pidge, please open the door."

It had been two minutes since Keith had been in front of Pidge's bedroom door, knocking frantically on it and waiting patiently for the Italian to go to the door and open it for Keith, since she had programmed her room so that no one without her authorization would enter after Lance and Matt had been entering there without knocking first.

But the girl apparently didn't want to let Keith in, even though he was her best friend. What could he have done? Or was the girl's situation so horrible and delicate that even he couldn't help her? Keith became even more worried.

"It's me, Pidge." he said again, even though he knew the girl knew it. "It's just me, I didn't bring anyone else with me."

Nothing.

She didn't do anything, no movement from inside the room. Keith couldn't hear anything from inside.

"Fuck, Pidge..." Keith muttered and put his forehead on the closed door. He sighed deeply and turned his back to the door, letting it rest against it and gently sliding down it, until he was sitting on the floor in the hallway. He didn't care about the people who were passing by and seeing him there.

He couldn't understand. He didn't understand why Pidge was refusing to talk to him right now, when just a few hours ago, she was helping him get ready for the party. She was helping him look presentable for James and for their date at the party.

Keith rubbed his eyes with the back of his hands and leaned his head against the door, staring at the ceiling of the hallway and thinking about what he could do to help the girl, even though he didn't even know what was going on in her head.

Then he thought about the things that could be happening to the green lion's paladin, from what he remembered from the beginning of her life, until hours ago when they were together in Matt's room. He wanted to at least understand something that would help him in relation to why Pidge was locking herself in her room. But before anything passed through his head in the form of a memory, the doors slid to the sides and Keith's body went backwards, making him fall on the floor of Pidge's room with a thud.

His eyes widened in fright and he turned his face to find the girl sitting on her bed with her tablet in her hands, clicking and clicking frantically on the keyboard, something that Keith wouldn't dare ask so as not to get an intelligence beating from the younger girl.

"Stop being an idiot and get up, Kogane." She said and Keith smiled slightly before getting up from the floor and he began walking in calm and delicate steps to the girl's bed. She glanced at her friend and then went back to writing something on the electronic device. "What do you want?"

"Nothing, I don't want anything." Keith replied, shrugging and shoving his hands into Matt's jacket pockets. "I just...wanted to see you, that's all."

"Liar." Pidge said, her voice serious and her eyes avoiding Keith's. "Who sent you here? Matt? Shiro?"

"I told you," Keith said again, moving close enough to the bed until his feet were touching it. "No one sent me, I came here on my own. I swear to you..."

Pidge stopped typing on her tablet, sighing deeply and looking up at Keith, seeing him standing next to her bed with his puppy dog face. Pidge would have thought he was cute if she hadn't been a little mad at him.

"Swear to me?" she asked, her voice serious and angry. "Swear to me? You didn't fucking tell me about kissing Lance!"

Keith's body froze instantly. His throat went dry and his chest began to pound harder and harder, faster and faster. He swore he was going to have a heart attack right there in front of Pidge. His hands were tingling, as was his back and the back of his neck, and he could feel the hairs of his mullet sticking to his skin quickly. He hated himself for how quickly his body could change temperature in an anxious situation.
