Wyatt couldn't focus as he, Nolan, and Frankie stood before their class and presented their project. Frankie was standing front and center of the two boys, speaking firmly and clearly for the entire class. Nolan was following along, preparing to take over when she was finished, and Wyatt, well...

He was preoccupied.

He was staring at the back of Frankie's head, listening to her comforting voice but not really paying attention to what she was saying. Wyatt's eyes wandered down her body, remembering what she looked like when she was naked in the shower with him. It was as if he could see through her clothes to her soft skin and those dimples, the image ingrained in his head.

Wyatt tilted his head and clenched his jaw as he imagined the two alone together again.

Nolan was coming to the end of his part and he was signaling that it was Wyatt's turn to speak. He looked at his friend and realized that he was totally distracted by his girlfriend.

Nolan moved his foot forward and stomped on Wyatt's.

"Ah," he sucked his teeth and Frankie turned around to look at him.

She made a quirky face, trying to figure out what happened but quickly recomposed herself.

"Go ahead Wyatt," she whispered with a soft, encouraging smile.

Wyatt took one look at Frankie's face and began to stutter out his words.

"Th-The resistance... i-in the ghettos..."

Wyatt's eyes were quickly drawn to Frankie's lips as he remembered what she'd used them for.

She furrowed her eyebrows at her boyfriend and urged him to continue his sentence. Wyatt was so unfocused that Nolan felt the need to step up and snatch Wyatt's notecards from him. He read them off quickly, even managing to impress Frankie with the knowledge that wasn't written down for him.

When their presentation was over Frankie turned to Wyatt and gave him a curious look.

"Are you okay?" She asked in a hushed tone.

Wyatt ran his hand back through his hair and avoided eye contact. Every time their eyes met, Wyatt couldn't help himself from remembering the way she looked up at him from the shower floor as she serviced him.
It was as if everything she did turned him on now. It was hard for Wyatt to so much as look at her without getting the urge to rip her clothes off.

"I'm fine," Wyatt lied and patted her head gently.

He walked back over to his seat, trying to ignore Frankie's existence. In fact, he tried to maintain his distance from her for the rest of the day. It wasn't until the evening that he allowed himself to spend time with Frankie again.

Wyatt walked down the hall to her bedroom and let himself in. Frankie was lying in bed with her homework sprawled out on the bed as well as some college brochures.

"What are you doing?" Wyatt asked curiously.

Frankie looked up from her notebook and smiled.

"I met with my counselor today," she said. "She's going to help me apply to colleges for next year."

Wyatt furrowed his brows and picked one of the brochures up.

"Francesca, we were supposed to have all of our applications in by now."

Frankie frowned and shrugged.

"I know..."

"Your counselor doesn't think it's a little late for you to do this?"

"My dad didn't let me apply to any colleges. He wanted me to join the church and live at home with him. I don't live with him anymore so now I have to figure out my life."
