After the defeat of Corrupteds from the first generation of Blessed, not all of them were wiped out. Those who survived went to hiding. Some just rot away and others, converted humans to their side, weaponizing their hidden desires; turning them into armies to prepare for their vengeance against the individuals who took away their reign on the land.
That was why, there were still places in Lurra infested by Corrupteds. They might be low on numbers but their powers were not to be trifled with. Thus, the kingdom of East (which where Lottie belongs to) regularly partnered with other kingdoms and their respective Blessed to clean the "pests".
This year, the one who would lead the military forces was no other than the Crown Prince Ethelson together with Blessed from the North and South Kingdom while the remaining two Blessed: Beatrice and Anthony, remained in the kingdom to protect the land, and not to leave the people defenseless from unexpected attacks.
Of course, like any other romance novels, this is when Ethelson met the female lead, Euphemia. In the midst of harsh battle, the crown prince would find solace at the arms of the female main character. Their hardships would strengthen their bond and affection to each other leading to their happy ending.
"Typical falling-in-love scenario. So corny." Lottie made a disgusting face while looking at her diary.
Currently, she was writing on her diary to map out the timeline of important events to proceed properly to the next stage of her plan.
What plan precisely?
None other than to play cupid between Anthony and Beatrice!
Ethelson would come back after two years with Euphemia, and that was the start of novel's main story. The beginning of Beatrice's downfall and Anthony's miserable unrequited love.
Lottie won't waste these two years sitting idle and wait for the fate to change. Oh no, no!
She would make sure that her ship would sail by hook or by crook!
The problem was...
"I have no idea how..." Lottie murmured to herself, scratching her head.
Unlike her plan to "make her dad love her" where the OG Lottie actually met her father which gave her a chance to get close and bond with him, the original Charlotte didn't even meet Beatrice in the book! Not even once! So how could Lottie play cupid if she had no connections to Beatrice at all!?
She was just a kid too. What could she do?
Lottie groaned and messed her hair in frustration. "Changing people's love life is soooo harddd!"
"Plus, I don't even have my own love life!" Then she rolled around her mattress.
After that, Lottie closed her diary, and with a little struggle, she went down her bed.
"My brain needs air." She opened her door and left her room.
Lance, guarding her room, noticed and followed her. "M-My lady, where a-are you going?"
"Nowhere," Lottie answered with her hands on her back. As for Lance, he walked behind her silently.
They continued to venture in the halls leisurely until she noticed her dad's office door was ajar.
'I need my daily dose of handsomeness from my father's face!' Lottie decided as she bounced towards the door.
Lance, in panic, tagged along with her but, before they could enter the room, Lottie's ears heard one word, one miracle word she was looking for.
