'WHAT IN THE WORLD!!!!' Lottie screamed inside her brain upon discovering the identities of two love birds doing non-wholesome activity in her father's storage house.

"W-We can explain!" Sir Duncan stuttered in his words trying to come up with various excuses. The maid also hid behind him.

"W-We...umm...we a-are...--" He started to sweat.

"The heck, help me here!"

"W-Why me!?"

"You are the one who asked for it!"

"W-What!?"

The two started to argue at each other with hushed voices but of course, Lottie could hear it loud and clear. Just like them, Lottie was shocked out of her wits but upon looking at them, mostly to that one guy called Sir Duncan who had been disrespecting her the most since day one, all the shock faded in one second and a small mischievous smirk appeared on her small face together with a brightest idea.

"Ehh~ What a weird sound I heard in there, Sir Duncan." This time, Lottie acted like a child with her fake, innocent, curious face which startled the two.

"It was louuddd but I think I heard it before..." Lottie put her index finger close to her cheek, pretending to think causing the lovers to start to sweat bullets.

"Ah! Should I ask the servants? They probably know or maybe they can notify my dad about it too because I am SUPERRR CURIOUS--"

"PLEASE FORGIVE US!"

Lottie didn't have to use force, Duncan was already on his knees, his head lower on the ground as he apologized.

"D-Duncan. What are you doing? Why are you bowing to that low chi--"

"WATCH YOUR MOUTH DANG IT!"

The maid closed her mouth out of surprise and so as Lottie. She was about to give glares to the maid to shut her up, but Duncan did the job for her.

'So, this is how desperate he is, huh?' Lottie thought to herself with an evil grin.

"What are you waiting for!? Bow here and apologize to the young lady!"

"Y-Yes!"

And just like Duncan, the maid bowed down on the ground.

'Dang! They actually bow down!' Lottie was amazed.

"PLEASE FORGIVE US!" They repeated.

"Eh? Why should I forgive you Sir Duncan? Did you do something wrong? Hmm, I think I really need to ask the others--"

"PLEASE YOUNG LADY, DON'T TELL ANYONE!"

"Why?" Lottie tilted her head out of fake curiosity. Of course, she's pretending.

"PLEASE, I WILL DO ANYTHING YOUNG LADY. JUST DON'T SPEAK ABOUT THIS! WE ARE DOOM IF SOMEONE FINDS OUT, MOSTLY IF THE DUKE!"

'Bingo.' Lottie said to her mind in victory upon hearing her awaited "I will do anything" line.

"Anything Sir Duncan?"

"Yes!" The lovers both nodded profusely.

"Schedule me to meet my dad," Lottie answered directly with no hesitation.

"Meeting...the Duke? Well...it's a bit--"

"Well, maybe I should really ask the others about the noise--" Lottie threatened them innocently.

"Yes! Will do, my lady! Consider it done!" And just like that, they agreed. It's Charlotte's victory.

"Go ahead now, Flora! Bring the Young lady to her room and make sure she is comfortable!"
