Han stood in front of the glass door, his heart thumping in his chest. He took a deep breath, adjusted his shirt, and pushed the door open. His new workplace, a bustling digital marketing firm, buzzed with activity inside. It was his first day, and as a shy introvert, the mere thought of interacting with strangers in a professional setting was not enough to make him break into a cold sweat.

Stepping inside, Jisung was greeted by the scent of coffee and the low hum of conversations. His eyes darted around the spacious, modern office with sleek desks and bright, overhead lighting. Everyone seemed so comfortable, like they belonged, and he felt out of place already. His hands clenched tightly at his sides, and he swallowed down the nerves that threatened to overwhelm him.

"Okay, you've got this," he whispered to himself.

As he approached the receptionist, she gave him a kind smile. "You must be Jisung, right? Welcome to the team! The manager asked Changbin to help you get settled. He'll be right out."

Jisung smiled nervously, nodding his head as he fiddled with the strap of his bag. He didn't know who Changbin was, but he silently hoped he'd be someone easy to work with. His shyness often made first impressions difficult, and his mind was already swirling with all the ways this day could go wrong.

A few moments later, a tall, broad-shouldered guy with sharp features and a confident smile approached. He had short, dark hair and wore a fitted, black t-shirt that showcased his muscular arms. Everything about him screamed charisma.

"Jisung, right?" the guy asked, his voice deep and warm. "I'm Changbin. I'll be showing you the ropes today."

Jisung nodded, feeling the heat rise to his cheeks. "Y-yeah. That's me."

Changbin's eyes crinkled slightly as he smirked. "Nice to meet you, Jisung. Don't worry, I won't bite. Unless you ask me to."

Jisung's eyes widened, and he blinked rapidly, unsure of how to respond to the sudden flirtation. His lips parted, but no words came out as his brain scrambled to process the teasing.

Changbin laughed, clearly enjoying the effect his comment had on Jisung. "Relax, man, I'm just messing with you. Let me show you around."

As they walked through the office, Changbin pointed out the various departments, giving a brief rundown of who worked where. Jisung listened quietly, trying to absorb everything, but he couldn't help but feel distracted by the way Changbin's presence seemed to fill the space. There was something magnetic about him, something that made Jisung hyper aware of his every movement, every word.

"So, how are you feeling about your first day?" Changbin asked as they stopped by the break room.

Jisung shifted on his feet. "Nervous, I guess. It's a lot to take in."

Changbin nodded, leaning casually against the counter, his eyes never leaving Jisung. "You'll be fine. Just stick with me, and you'll survive. Plus, you've got that cute, shy thing going for you. People are gonna love you here."

Jisung's face flushed a deeper shade of red, and he looked down at his shoes, his heart skipping a beat at Changbin's words. Cute? Was Changbin flirting again, or was he just being nice? Either way, Jisung wasn't used to this kind of attention, and it made his stomach flutter with a mix of nerves and something else, something unfamiliar but not unpleasant.

"Th-thanks," Jisung mumbled, still too flustered to meet Changbin's gaze.

Changbin chuckled softly. "You're fun to tease, you know that?"

Jisung's face felt like it was on fire. He didn't know how to respond to that, so he stayed silent, hoping the blush on his cheeks would fade soon.

They spent the next few hours going over Jisung's tasks, with Changbin offering guidance and the occasional playful comment that kept Jisung on edge. Every time Changbin's arm brushed against his or he leaned in a little too close to show him something, Jisung's pulse would quicken, and he'd lose track of whatever they were supposed to be working on.

By lunchtime, Jisung was mentally exhausted. Not because of the work, but because of Changbin. The man had a way of making him feel like he was the only person in the room, even when they were surrounded by colleagues. It was exhilarating and terrifying at the same time.

They sat in the break room together, eating lunch in companionable silence, until Changbin broke it with another unexpected question.

"So, Jisung, you seeing anyone?" Changbin asked, his tone casual but his eyes gleaming with mischief.

Jisung nearly choked on his sandwich. "W-what? No, I'm not."

Changbin smirked, clearly enjoying Jisung's reaction. "Good to know. Means I've got a shot."

Jisung's mouth went dry, and he stared at Changbin, wide-eyed. He couldn't tell if Changbin was joking again or if there was something more behind the playful banter. Was it possible that Changbin... liked him?

"I-I don't think-" Jisung stammered, his mind racing.

"Relax, Jisung. I'm not trying to freak you out," Changbin said, his voice softening. "I just think you're cute, and I like spending time with you. No pressure or anything."

Jisung swallowed hard, his heart pounding in his chest. He wasn't used to someone being so direct with their feelings, especially not someone like Changbin, who seemed so confident and sure of himself. It was overwhelming, but at the same time, Jisung couldn't deny the way his own feelings had been slowly building throughout the day.

"I-I like spending time with you too," Jisung admitted quietly, barely able to meet Changbin's eyes as he said it.

Changbin's smile softened into something genuine, and he reached out to gently brush a strand of hair away from Jisung's face. The gesture was so tender, so intimate, that Jisung's breath hitched in his throat.

"Good," Changbin said softly. "Then maybe we can hang out outside of work sometime? No pressure, like I said, but... I'd like to get to know you better."

Jisung's heart fluttered, and for the first time that day, he found himself smiling shyly. "Y-yeah, I'd like that."

The rest of the day passed in a blur, but Jisung felt lighter, more at ease. Changbin continued to flirt, but now there was an underlying sincerity to his words, and Jisung found himself responding with shy smiles and quiet laughter instead of awkward stammers.

As the day came to an end and Jisung gathered his things, Changbin walked him to the door, his hands casually tucked into his pockets. They paused at the entrance, the office lights casting a soft glow around them.

"I'll see you tomorrow?" Changbin asked, his eyes twinkling.

"Yeah, see you tomorrow," Jisung replied, his heart racing.

Before he could turn to leave, Changbin leaned down slightly, close enough that Jisung could feel the warmth of his breath against his skin. "Oh, and Jisung?" Changbin's voice was low, sending a shiver down Jisung's spine. "I'm looking forward to that hangout."

Jisung's breath caught in his throat, and all he could do was nod, his cheeks burning.

Changbin straightened, giving him one last smile before turning to head back inside. Jisung stood there for a moment, trying to process everything that had happened that day. His first day at his new job had been nothing like he expected, but as he walked away, he couldn't help the small smile that tugged at the corners of his lips.

Maybe this job wouldn't be so bad after all.
