Han adjusted the collar of his blue sweater, peering nervously into the mirror. His reflection stared back, the excitement in his eyes mingled with the tiniest bit of anxiety. Tonight was special. Valentine's Day. The day is full of love. But what made it truly unforgettable was the fact that he was going on a date with Chan, the guy he'd matched with on a dating app a few weeks ago.

It wasn't Han's usual style to dive into things so quickly. He'd always been cautious, especially when it came to matters of the heart. But something about Chan's profile had caught his eye, a mixture of charm and kindness in the few exchanges they had. When Chan suggested they meet for Valentine's Day, it felt like the right step.

When Han arrived, he spotted Chan immediately. He was seated at a table near the window, looking as though he belonged on the cover of a magazine. Dressed in a simple black turtleneck and jeans, Chan had an air of effortless cool about him. His smile widened as he saw Han approaching.

"Hey, you made it!" Chan stood up, his warm gaze making Han's heart skip a beat.

"Yeah, wouldn't miss it for the world," Han replied, a little breathless as they shook hands. There was a moment of hesitation before they both laughed, easing into the moment.

The café had a cozy atmosphere. The soft hum of conversations mixed with the gentle strumming of acoustic music in the background. The scent of freshly brewed coffee and the warm glow of candlelight added to the ambiance.

As they settled into their seats, the conversation flowed easily. They talked about everything from their favourite movies and music to childhood memories and future dreams. Chan's laughter was contagious, and Han found himself smiling more than he had in a long time.

"So, what made you swipe right on me?" Chan asked playfully, his eyes twinkling.

Han blushed slightly. "Honestly? You seemed genuine. A lot of people try too hard to impress, but you were just...you. And I liked that."

Chan smiled, clearly pleased with the response. "I'm glad you thought so. I felt the same way about you. It's rare to find someone who's just real."

They ordered dinner, and the food was as delightful as the company. Han couldn't believe how easy it was to be around Chan. He didn't have to put up any walls or pretend to be someone he wasn't. It was refreshing

As the evening progressed, they decided to take a walk. The night air was cool but pleasant, the perfect contrast to the warmth they felt in each other's presence. They strolled through the park, which was beautifully decorated with fairy lights and paper lanterns. The moon hung low in the sky, casting a silvery glow over the scene.

"Do you come here often?" Han asked as they walked side by side.

"Sometimes," Chan replied, his voice soft. "It's a nice place to think. Peaceful. But tonight, it feels even more special."

Han nodded, feeling the same. There was a magic in the air, something that felt almost surreal. They continued walking until they reached a small bridge overlooking a tranquil pond. The water reflected the lights around them, creating a shimmering surface that seemed almost otherworldly.

Chan leaned against the railing, looking out over the water. "You know, I've been on a few dates before, but this...this feels different."

Han joined him, their shoulders brushing slightly. "I was just thinking the same thing. I've never felt so...at ease with someone I just met."

Chan turned to face him, his expression serious but soft. "I'm really glad we met, Han. I don't know what's going to happen next, but I'm willing to find out if you are."

Han's heart raced at the sincerity in Chan's voice. He wasn't the type to rush into things, but something about this moment felt right. It felt real.

"I'm willing," Han replied, his voice barely above a whisper.

They stood there in silence for a moment, just taking in the beauty of the night and the connection they had found. Han could feel the tension between them, the unspoken attraction that had been building since they first met. It was thrilling and terrifying all at once.

Without thinking, Han reached out and took Chan's hand. Chan's eyes met his, and for a moment, the world around them faded away. The only thing that mattered was this,

this moment, this connection, this person.

Chan smiled, his fingers tightening around Han's. "I was hoping you'd do that."

Han smiled back, feeling a warmth spread through him that had nothing to do with the cold night air. He had never been the type to believe in love at first sight, but this felt close.

They stood there for what felt like hours, talking and laughing and just enjoying each other's company. Han felt like he could talk to Chan forever, and the more they talked, the more he found himself drawn to him.

As the night grew colder, they reluctantly decided to head back to the café to warm up. The streets were quieter now, with most people having gone home to enjoy the rest of their Valentine's Day. But Han didn't want the night to end. He didn't want to say goodbye to Chan.

When they reached the café, they stood outside, both reluctant to part ways.

"I had a great time tonight," Chan said, his voice low and sincere. "Thank you for making this Valentine's Day special."

"Me too," Han replied, his heart pounding in his chest. "I don't want it to end."

Chan's eyes searched Han's for a moment as if trying to decide something. Then, before Han could react, Chan leaned in and kissed him.

It was a gentle kiss, tentative and sweet. Han's eyes fluttered shut, and he felt the world around him disappear. All that existed was the warmth of Chan's lips against his, the soft pressure that sent shivers down his spine.

When they finally pulled away, Han's heart was racing, his mind spinning. He had kissed people before, but this was different. This felt right.

Chan's gaze was steady, his smile soft. "I've been wanting to do that all night."

Han blushed, his breath still coming in short gasps. "I'm glad you did."

They stood there for a moment, just holding each other's gaze, the connection between them stronger than ever. Han knew that whatever happened next, this was just the beginning.

As they finally said their goodbyes and parted ways, Han couldn't help but smile. He walked home with a lightness in his step, his heart full of hope and possibility. He didn't know what the future held, but he was excited to find out with Chan by his side.

As he lay in bed that night, Han couldn't stop thinking about the kiss, about the way Chan had made him feel.

He knew that this was the start of something special, something worth holding onto.
