Taylor's pov

" baby boy there's no need to get up so early darling " I cooed to my 18 month old son, who was lying on his fathers side of the bed, green eyes glaring at me, a smile poking through his pacifier. " Luca, mommy wants to sleep " I giggle as he starts rubbing his hand over my face.

It was 5am in the morning, Travis was at training camp and Luca had been going through a sleep regression. He'd always slept great, but conveniently, started waking up through the night just as Travis left for training camp, leaving me to deal with the brunt of it. He was also the biggest mommy's boy ever so only mommy would do when he was upset. I was usually persistent with keeping him in his crib, but tonight I caved, just needing some sleep.

" mommy " I hear a small voice from the door, making me internally want to scream, I was so tired, being 6 months pregnant and taking care of 2 children really exhausted you, especially by yourself.

" Ellie, you're awake too? " I sigh as she runs to my side of the bed

" Luca woke me up mommy " the 3 year old told me, reaching up, attempting to climb in next to my side of the bed.

" okay baby, but you guys have to go back to sleep, it's too early to be up yet " I told them firmly, luca beginning to whine, pulling down at my pyjama shirt. I'd weaned him off breastfeeding a good few months ago, but he still tried to revert to it if he was upset, however I was very adamant about stopping, in three months time I'd have a newborn to do it all over again with.

" lu baby, come here, do you want cuddles? " the infant nodded his head, climbing so he was resting on my chest, legs carefully placed around my growing belly.

" me too mommy " Ellie shuffled close and I reached my free arm for her to snuggle into. It was clear that sleep for me was clearly out of the window, but to be honest, it probably would've been interrupted with at least 2 bathroom breaks, I was sure of it.

" mommy? " I heard Ellie's little voice again less than 10 minutes later

" mm baby? "

" when can we see daddy? " I giggled a little bit, Ellie was a huge daddy's girl, and so being away from him had been a challenge. She was also at the age of testing boundaries and with her dad away and me being constantly exhausted, she knew I'd let her get away with more.

" later today darling, but we won't be seeing him if you don't close those eyes of yours and go back to sleep " I warn her and she immediately shuffles onto her side, making little fake snoring noises to pretend she was asleep, thinking I'd genuinely believe her, but I didn't of course.

I think I may have got a few extra minutes of sleep in between the hour that they both feel back to sleep, but Luca was often a pretty early riser regardless and so by 6:30, sleep was a futile activity for the boundless and energetic toddler. Carefully, I untangled myself from Ellie's grasp, making sure not to wake her – that'd be like waking the devil.

" mama, go go " luca calls out, toddling in front of me on his way to the kitchen, clearly wanting me to speed up.

" mommy's going as fast as she can baby " I chuckle.
