As the night wore on, Taylor could barely keep her eyes open, the weight of the performance finally catching up to her. Travis noticed the way her head began to droop, her movements sluggish as they sat on the couch. "Ready for bed?" he asked softly, brushing a strand of hair away from her face.

She nodded, too tired to respond. Travis stood, offering her his hand, and together they made their way upstairs. Once in the bedroom, he pulled back the covers and gently tucked her into bed. Taylor sank into the mattress, her eyelids fluttering shut almost immediately.

As Travis gently kissed Taylor goodnight, leaving her to rest, he sighed softly, careful not to disturb her. His gaze lingered on her peaceful form for a moment longer before he slipped out of the bedroom, quietly pulling the door shut behind him.

the house felt strangely calm now, with the hum of excitement from earlier performance still lingering in the air. He was grateful for the stillness, but the evening wasn't over yet. Just as Travis began to unwind, the doorbell chimed, snapping him back to reality. He had completely forgotten that his family was coming over. He shook his head with a chuckle, knowing how this was about to go.

He opened the door, and there stood his brother Jason, a wide grin on his face, along with Kylie and their three kids—Wyatt, Ellie, and Bennett. Behind them were his parents, Ed and Donna, always with their familiar warmth and energy.

"Travis!" Jason exclaimed, pulling him into a bear hug, the kind only an older brother can give. "We made it, man! Let's celebrate!"

Travis chuckled, patting Jason on the back. "Glad you guys could make it." He glanced behind him toward the hallway leading to the bedroom. "But I gotta warn you—Taylor's already asleep. She's completely wiped out from the show."

Kylie gave him a sympathetic smile. "That's understandable. The way she performs? I can't even imagine the exhaustion after a tour finale."

Jason gave a teasing grin, clearly in his usual big-brother mode. "Wiped out, huh? Well, the night's still young for us." He winked mischievously, earning an eye-roll from Travis.

"Yeah, yeah, settle down," Travis replied, chuckling.

Before the conversation could go any further, Wyatt and Ellie rushed forward eyes full of excitement. "Where's auntie Taylor? Can we say hi?" Ellie asked, bouncing on her toes with eager anticipation. Wyatt nodded along, tugging at Travis's shirt.

Travis knelt down to their level, gently shaking his head. She's already fast asleep, kiddos. You can see her in the morning okay?"

But we wanted to give her a hug! Wyatt protested, her small voice carrying the weight of her disappointment.

Jason, sensing the impending meltdown, knelt next to his daughters. "Hey, Auntie Taylor will love your hug tomorrow morning even more. She needs her rest now, okay?"

Donna, ever the wise and loving grandmother, chimed in as she helped usher the kids inside. "Let's let her rest, okay? Tomorrow's a new day, and she'll be excited to see you. I promise."

The kids, still slightly disheartened, nodded and made themselves at home, scattering their toys and books across the living room as if they'd always belonged there. Travis could only smile at the way his family had the ability to bring a lively, warm energy to any space they entered.

"So," Kylie started, leaning in as she looked at Travis. "How was the show? I saw some clips, but I want to hear it from you."

Travis's face softened, and pride filled his expression. "It was incredible. But there was this one moment..." He hesitated, his mind replaying the near-miss that still made his heart race. "She almost fell of the stage."
