The sun was just beginning to rise, casting a soft orange glow across the city skyline as Taylor and Travis stood in the hallway of their apartment, their luggage neatly stacked by the door. Today was the day they'd been planning for weeks—their long-awaited family vacation. It would be the first time Taylor's and Travis's families would be together for an extended trip, and both of them were excited about the idea of blending the two sides in a place far removed from their everyday chaos.

As Taylor adjusted the strap of her carry-on bag, Travis pulled her close, wrapping his arms around her from behind. "You ready for this?" he asked, his deep voice low and warm in her ear.

She leaned back against him, closing her eyes as she soaked in his comfort. "Yeah. It'll be fun. I just hope everything goes smoothly."

Travis kissed the top of her head, reassuring her. "With both our families in one place, 'smooth' might not be the word I'd use, but we'll make it work. Besides, it's the Bahamas—we'll be too relaxed to care."

Taylor smiled, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness flutter in her stomach. They had rented a sprawling beachfront villa, where her parents, Scott and Andrea, and her brother Austin, would join Travis's family—his mom Donna, dad Ed, and his brother Jason along with Kylie and their kids. It was bound to be a full house, but also one filled with love, laughter, and, no doubt, a few moments of chaos.

The airport was buzzing with early morning travelers as Taylor and Travis made their way through security. They had booked a private flight to avoid the paparazzi frenzy, but that didn't mean the tension of travel was completely gone. Taylor always felt a little on edge at airports, especially knowing the eyes that were often on them. Still, having Travis by her side made it easier. He was like her anchor, keeping her grounded when the world felt overwhelming.

Once they boarded the plane, Taylor settled into her seat, breathing a sigh of relief as she glanced out the window. Travis sat beside her, reaching over to take her hand, giving it a gentle squeeze. "You okay?"

She nodded, smiling softly. "Yeah, just glad to be past the airport chaos."

He leaned over, pressing a kiss to her temple. "Well, now all we have to do is sit back and relax. We're officially on vacation."

The flight attendants began their safety demonstration, but Taylor barely paid attention, her mind wandering. She couldn't help but feel a little nervous about having their families together for a full week. Both families were amazing, but they had never spent this much time together in one place. Taylor hoped they'd all get along smoothly. She also knew how much this vacation meant to Travis. After all the pressure and media attention that had surrounded them for months, this was a much-needed escape.

As the plane took off, Taylor leaned back in her seat, closing her eyes and trying to push aside her lingering worries. Travis, sensing her unease, turned her hand over in his, gently massaging her palm with his thumb. "Don't stress, babe. This is going to be great."

She opened her eyes and smiled at him. "You're right. It'll be great."

The flight to the Bahamas passed quickly, with Taylor dozing off for most of it, resting her head on Travis's shoulder. He'd spent the time flipping through sports magazines and scrolling through his phone, but every now and then, he would glance down at her, a smile tugging at his lips as he watched her sleep peacefully beside him.

When they landed, the warm, salty air of the Bahamas greeted them the moment they stepped off the plane. The small, private airport was a world away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. Palm trees swayed in the breeze, and the sun shone brightly, casting a golden glow on everything it touched.
