The next morning I was sat in the boarding house with Damon, as it is still in my name and I haven't died those that aren't invited in cannot get inside, so Elijah, Damon and Klaus thought it was the safest place for me as Kol has run off with Klaus's daggers. I honestly didn't believe Kol would come after me, not when I had helped him out last night, but they wanted me to be safe so here I was bored out of my mind. Stefan wandered into the room and flashed me a small smile.

"Hey Stef" I sat up from my lounging position on the sofa as Stefan sat beside me.

"Hey Jamie. How've you been?"

"I'm alright" Stefan sighed at my words and nodded his head a little, "what's going on Stefan?" I turned to face the vampire, crossing my legs as I did so.

"I'm sorry" I raised my eyebrow at Stefan's confession but otherwise remained silent, "what we have all done to you isn't fair. Being away from Elena has made me see that, the way she treated you because of her jealousy over you being soulmates with Damon was unfair, and I let her words get to me, I shouldn't have done it. You were my friend once and I would like you to be my friend again" I smiled at Stefan before pulling him into a hug.

"I forgive you Stefan. I know you wouldn't have done them things if it hadn't of been for Elena, love is a powerful emotion, and it can make us do the stupidest of things, but I never held it against you. I understood your anger towards Nik, and your desire to keep Elena safe, but it's not just me you need to apologize to. You've hurt your brother so much and I hate to see him down about it, he misses you whether he will admit it or not" Stefan looked down at his hands at the mention of Damon.

"I'll apologize to him. You were right by the way" I looked at him confused for a moment, "I shouldn't have pushed my soulmate away. Caroline deserves better, and when the time comes, I want to be with her" I smiled and gently nudged Stefan's shoulder.

"Tell her. She needs to know how you feel so that she has all of her options available to her. She may not want you right now Stefan, but eventually she will. Just be patient" Stefan nodded as we both remained silent for a moment until the front door open.

"Hello little witch" I jumped up and ran at Trevor, laughing as he caught me effortlessly.

"Trev! I've missed you. Where's Rose?" I looked up at my best friend as he placed me back on my feet.

"She met her soulmate, so I decided to come home and give her some time alone with him" a huge grin slipped onto my face hearing this, and I squealed a little.

"Now all we have to do is find you yours" Trevor rolled his eyes as I linked my arm through his.

"I'm in no rush. Anyway what have I missed?" me and Trevor sat down on the sofas in the parlour as I dived into everything that he had missed. Stefan had headed out to give us some privacy and to answer a phone call. I had told Trevor every detail, even cried a little when I had told him about Carol Lockwood but by the end he was completely speechless. "Well I've missed so much. When you hadn't called for a while I began to worry but Rose said you would be fine, your invincible after all. Then she met her soulmate, and it just gave to me opportunity to come home to my best friend. I have missed you little witch".

"I've missed you too Trev" the two of us spent the day catching up as he showed me the photos from all the different places they have been, telling me they avoided Scotland because they weren't going unless I was with them, by the time we both noticed the time it was already dark and my phone was ringing, my face twisted into a look of confusion as I noticed who was calling. "Kol?"

"Ahh princess! I was wondering if you could meet me at the Gilbert residence, Nik's former blood bag and her dear brother are up to something, and I would appreciate the backup" I rolled my eyes and looked over at Trevor who nodded.
