it was late in the evening, the sun barely a sliver on the horizon, casting a warm glow through the windows of ddot's room. star and ddot were sitting on his bed, the sound of music playing softly in the background. they had spent the whole day together, just laughing and hanging out, and now they were both quiet, lost in their own thoughts as the vibe around them shifted.
ddot was leaning back against the headboard, his arm resting casually on the pillow beside him while star sat cross-legged at the foot of the bed, scrolling through her phone. the comfort between them was natural, like they didn't even need to fill the space with words. but there was an energy in the air, a tension that had been building for weeks. neither of them had said anything, but they both felt it—this unspoken connection that was growing stronger by the day.
star looked up from her phone, catching ddot's eyes. she smiled softly, and he returned it, that lazy smirk of his that always made her heart skip a beat.
"what?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.
"nothin'," ddot replied, but his eyes stayed on her, a hint of something deeper there.
star shifted a little, suddenly feeling the butterflies in her stomach. she had always been comfortable around ddot, but lately, she couldn't help but notice the little things—how his voice seemed softer when he talked to her, how his touch lingered just a second longer than usual, how he looked at her like she was the only person in the room.
she bit her lip, unsure of what to say. "you're staring," she teased, trying to break the tension, but her voice came out quieter than she intended.
"can't help it," ddot replied, his voice low. "you look good."
star felt her cheeks warm, her heart beating just a little faster. she couldn't deny that she had been feeling something too, this pull toward him that she couldn't explain. she looked away, trying to focus on anything but the way his gaze made her feel.
but ddot wasn't having it. he shifted closer, moving to sit beside her, his knee brushing against hers. "you okay?" he asked, his voice soft, almost hesitant.

ddot studied her for a moment, his eyes searching hers like he was trying to figure out what was going on in her head. he reached out, gently taking her hand, and the simple touch sent a spark through her. "you sure? you seem... quiet."
star looked down at their hands, her heart racing. she wasn't sure why she felt so nervous all of a sudden. maybe it was the way he was looking at her, or maybe it was the way his thumb was brushing softly against her skin, but she felt like something was about to change.
"ddot," she started, her voice barely above a whisper, "i—"
before she could finish, ddot leaned in closer, his face just inches from hers. her breath caught in her throat as she looked up at him, her heart pounding in her chest. his hand moved to her cheek, his touch gentle as his thumb brushed against her skin.
"you can tell me anything," he whispered, his eyes searching hers,the tone of his deep voice instantly sending her into a silent coma.
star swallowed hard, her heart racing in her chest. she didn't know what to say, but she didn't have to, because in that moment, ddot leaned in, his lips brushing softly against hers.
the kiss was soft at first, tentative, like they were both testing the waters. star's mind went blank as she leaned into him, her hand finding its way to the back of his neck, pulling him closer. ddot's hand slid to her waist, pulling her into his lap as the kiss deepened, slow and sweet.
star's heart was racing, her mind spinning with everything that was happening. the warmth of his body against hers, the way his hand rested on her lower back, keeping her close—it was everything she hadn't known she wanted. she kissed him back, her fingers threading through his hair, and for a moment, it felt like the rest of the world disappeared. it was just the two of them, lost in each other.
when they finally pulled apart, both of them were breathing a little heavier. star's face was flushed, her lips tingling from the kiss. she looked up at ddot, her heart still pounding as he smiled softly at her.
"that was..." she started, her voice barely above a whisper.
ddot grinned, his forehead resting against hers. "perfect."
star laughed softly, her heart swelling at the way he looked at her. "yeah... it was."
they stayed like that for a moment, just holding each other, their foreheads pressed together. it was quiet, but it was a comfortable kind of silence, like they didn't need words to understand what had just happened.
"you okay?" ddot asked after a moment, his hand brushing gently through her hair.
star smiled, nodding as she rested her head against his shoulder. "yeah... i'm more than okay."
ddot wrapped his arms around her, holding her close. "good, 'cause i've been wanting to do that for a while now."
star laughed softly, leaning into him. "me too."
ddot kissed the top of her head, his arms tightening around her as they sat together in tje comfort of ddot's bed room.
"you're so pretty, you know that?" his fingers played with the lengths of her braids as star looked at him smiling then looking away in an instant. she felt herself folding way too easily whenever she would make eye contact with him, and she'd never felt this way with any other guy before.
ddot knew the effect he had on her and he found it cute, he adored everything about her from her her smile, her laugh, how her edges always looked so perfect, or even just being around her. star wasn't like any girl he'd ever fallen for before, that's why he loved her so much.
