The weeks that followed the breakup had been unbearable for Star. At first, she tried to convince herself that she had made the right decision, that stepping away from Ddot was necessary for both of their careers and mental health. But no matter how hard she tried to distract herself with work, friends, or music, nothing could fill the void he had left in her life.
Star found herself thinking about Ddot constantly. his laugh, the way he always knew how to make her smile, the warmth of his arms around her when everything felt overwhelming. She missed him so much it hurt, and the more time passed, the more she regretted her decision to let him go.
One night, as she sat alone in her apartment, staring at the blank page in her notebook where lyrics were supposed to be, she realized she couldn't focus on anything except him.
Her heart ached with the need to hear his voice, to see his face, to tell him how sorry she was for letting the media and the pressure come between them.
Without thinking, Star picked up her phone and opened her messages. Her fingers hovered over the screen, hesitation gripping her for a moment. What if he had moved on? What if he didn't want to see her again? But the fear of losing him for good was stronger than any doubt she had.
Finally, she typed out a simple message:
Star⭐️❤️:Can we talk? I miss you.
She stared at the screen, her heart racing as she waited for a reply. Seconds felt like hours, and just as she was about to give up hope, her phone buzzed with a response.
Ddot💘: I miss you too. Come over?
Relief washed over her, and without another thought, Star grabbed her jacket and headed out the door. She had no idea what she was going to say, but she knew she had to see him, had to make things right.
When Star arrived at Ddot's place, her heart was pounding in her chest. She hesitated at the door for a moment before taking a deep breath and knocking. The door swung open almost immediately, and there he was. Ddot, looking at her with those eyes that had always made her feel like everything was going to be okay.
"Hey," he said softly, stepping aside to let her in.
"Hey," she replied, her voice shaky as she walked past him into the familiar warmth of his apartment.
For a moment, they just stood there, neither of them knowing how to start. Finally, Star couldn't take it anymore. She turned to face him, her eyes filled with tears.
"I'm so sorry, Ddot," she whispered, her voice breaking. "I'm sorry I let the media get in my head, that I pushed you away. I've been miserable without you. I thought I was doing the right thing, but all I've done is hurt both of us. I miss you so much."
Ddot stepped forward, closing the distance between them. He gently cupped her face in his hands, his touch sending a wave of comfort through her.
"Don't apologize, Star," he said, his voice low and soothing. "I know how much pressure you were under. I felt it too. But you don't need to apologize for how you felt. You were doing what you thought was best for both of us, and I respect that."
"But I was wrong," Star insisted, tears spilling down her cheeks. "I never should have let you go. I just... I couldn't handle everything, and I didn't know how to deal with it."
Ddot pulled her into a tight embrace, one hand stroking her hair while the other wrapped around her shoulders. Star buried her face in his chest, her arms wrapping around his torso as she let herself cry, finally letting go of all the pain she had been holding inside.
"It's okay, Star," Ddot murmured, his voice calm and reassuring. "We're here now. That's all that matters. We can figure everything else out together. You don't have to go through this alone."
Star took a shaky breath, lifting her head slightly to look up at him. "I'm just scared, Ddot. Scared of how much I love you. It's so intense sometimes, and I thought maybe stepping back would make it easier, but it didn't. I love you more than I ever realized."
Ddot's heart swelled at her words, and he tightened his hold on her, his voice softening with emotion. "I love you too, Star. More than I can even put into words. You're everything to me, and I hate that you've been feeling like this. I need you to know that no matter what, you're not holding me back. You make me better, in every way."
Star felt the weight lift from her heart as he spoke. The love in his eyes was undeniable, and it was the reassurance she hadn't known she needed. "I don't ever want to lose you again, Ddot. I'm sorry I let my fear get in the way of what we have."
Ddot leaned down, resting his forehead against hers. "You're not losing me, Star. Not now, not ever. I'm here, and I'm not going anywhere. I love you too much to let anything come between us."
They held each other for a long time, soaking in the relief and the renewed sense of connection. Their love was undeniable, stronger than any outside force that had tried to pull them apart.
As they stood there, the weight of the past few weeks finally lifting from their shoulders, Ddot suddenly smiled, a playful glint in his eyes.
"So," he said, his tone lightening, "should we let the fans know we're back?" he smiled as he gently wiped her tears.
Star laughed through her tears, feeling a warmth in her heart she hadn't felt in so long. "I think they'd like that," she agreed, nodding.
Ddot reached for his phone and opened the camera app. They both leaned in close, Ddot's arms still wrapped around Star as she snuggled against his chest. He snapped a cute selfie, capturing the genuine happiness in both their faces.
Without hesitation, Ddot posted the picture on his Instagram story, tagging Star and adding a heart emoji next to her name.
Almost immediately, the notifications started pouring in. Fans were quick to notice, their excitement spreading like wildfire across social media. Within minutes, the photo was all over the tea pages, fans rejoicing in the comments about their reunion.
Star couldn't help but laugh as she scrolled through her phone, showing Ddot some of the posts. "They're so fast!" she said, shaking her head in disbelief.
"I know, right?" Ddot chuckled, his arm still around her as they sat on the couch together. "But I can't blame them. I'm glad we're giving them something positive to talk about."
Star smiled, resting her head on his shoulder. "Me too. It feels right, being back here with you. Like this is where I'm supposed to be."
"It is," Ddot said, kissing the top of her head. "And we're not letting anything or anyone come between us again."
As they sat there, wrapped up in each other and the knowledge that they had found their way back to one another, Star felt a peace she hadn't known in weeks. They had weathered the storm, and now they were stronger for it.
